I hated my 5th grade teacher. He Snooped through my desk and found a note I didn’t write and yelled at me for it without any evidence of me writing a swear word. I wish I told my mom about this when it happened.

this school is difficult now eversince they updated the standards this year.

Eh it was alright, transferred here when I was in 3rd grade and it was pretty good, but if you live in the district then just please don't send your kids to eagle ridge middle school bro like it's so awful there, just transfer to a different middle school or something it's not worth it.

Moorefield Station Elementary is a great school with a warm, welcoming environment. Principal Williams has really grown into her leadership role over the past few years and assembled a strong administrative team. They make an effort to be seen on rolling desks in hallways and classrooms as often as possible, speaking to children by name. Although there are quite a few new teachers, now that COVID is long gone and the transfers after the prior principal retired are over, the staff seem to be very content. The PTO has increased community involvement, especially in the past school year. There are academic and social programs offered and parents, as well as teachers, attend special programs (Bingo, Math Night, Musicals). The school now has great monthly Shark-of-the-Month assemblies which build community and celebrate student achievement. Overall, Moorefield Station is a wonderful place for young learners to thrive!

Last year, our eldest daughter, then in 4th grade, experienced multiple incidents of bullying. Despite bringing these issues to the school’s attention, we were met with what appeared to be inaction. However, we remained persistent—sending numerous emails and making repeated phone calls—until appropriate disciplinary measures were finally taken. Ultimately, the student responsible was suspended from both school and bus transportation.Unfortunately, it is deeply concerning that only three days into the new school year, we are facing a similar situation—this time involving our younger daughter, who is in Kindergarten. On the same day, she was slapped twice by another student. No one from the school contacted us about the incident, which is unacceptable.It is evident that there is a significant lack of adequate supervision, likely due to understaffing and overcrowding. This creates an unsafe environment for all students.We have already brought this matter to the principal’s attention and are currently awaiting a response. Should the school fail to address this issue appropriately and in a timely manner, we will escalate it by filing a formal complaint with both the school administration and the school board. Legal action will follow if necessary.We are fully prepared to pursue every available legal avenue to ensure the safety and well-being of our children and to hold accountable those who are responsible for protecting them. Student safety is not negotiable.
