Our family’s ILS journey began ten years ago when we moved from a military assignment in Germany to new jobs in the Pentagon. We looked for a school in which our two young sons would be immersed in a Christian and academically challenging environment. Our comprehensive search landed us at ILS. Since then, both of our sons have graduated from ILS and their sister is halfway through her time. The ILS community has truly been a blessing for our family. We have found that ILS is more than just a school—it is a place where parents and faculty come together to build a rich environment for our children. In addition to a solid academic foundation, our children learned to show genuine love and respect to those around them, an outcome that in many ways is more important than academic success. We attribute much of our children’s maturity and academic excellence to their time at ILS. If you are considering a classical Christian education, we recommend ILS. All three of my kids have loved Burgundy. I currently have two enrolled and one that graduated last year and is in High School now. From the moment you step onto the campus, you can feel the warmth, intention, and authenticity that make this school stand out. The teachers are not only highly skilled but genuinely invested in each child’s growth—academically, socially, and emotionally. They take time to understand every student as an individual, creating an environment where kids feel seen, supported, and encouraged to explore their interests. This carries with them as they attend high school and college.The school’s hands-on, experiential learning approach is a game changer. Students don’t just memorize facts—they engage with the world around them, think critically, and develop a real love of learning. The campus itself is beautiful and thoughtfully maintained, offering plenty of outdoor space that’s actually integrated into the curriculum.Communication with families is excellent, and the sense of community is one of the strongest I’ve experienced. It SSSA receiving money from the State? If so, state is dictating curriculum. Is SSSA a private school? Difficult to distinquish. Too much emphasis on sports and DEI.

Finishing another year, our student is onward soon to high school! Thank you Blessed Sacrament! It has been a nice journey and there were many fond memories over the years. I would give 5 stars but every school especially Catholic schools are always in need of more funds so. Otho g can be perfect. I hope the school will fall upon an abundance of funding over the next years to continue and stay strong for the future so all have a nice journey like us. We will always support Catholic education.
