Navigator Pointe Academy

Average of 2 hours of homework every night. Tests/projects routinely due after long weekends/breaks. Assessment testing for math/reading stops at 3rd grade. Focus is clearly on the small group of elite students. If your child doesn’t fit the mold they are passed up & left behind. Obvious bias toward 1 particular charter high school. Only a few charters & none of the public schools within Jordan School District have 9th grade at the high school level. Plan ahead if you live within the District & don't want to attend a public middle school for 1 year before moving again to high school.

Excellent school, I would highly recommend NPA to any parent who wants their child to learn values such as honesty, respect, and responsibility while being in a loving, caring and positive environment. Students are grouped by their ability for reading and math groups which allows them to progress at their own pace while being challenged. The Director knows each child and what their needs are. My 3 children have attended NPA and are now very successful adults. I love this school!!

So far we are very pleased with Navigator Pointe. My kindergartener is progressing much faster than her friends and family in other schools. Navigator has taken this difficult year and made me feel comfortable with their decisions in staying open and doing online learning on Fridays to give teachers an opportunity to catch up. Homework for a kindergartener seemed strange to me, but it has actually helped our after school routine. With a strong willed child, their personal accountability approach has made a difference for her.

I am very impressed with this school. My kindergartener is progressing nicely. I love their culture of personal responsibility, which I feel is often lacking in public schools. I think the small size of the school creates a more intimate environment where the students support each other. The teachers and office staff are caring and professional. The uniforms are cute and makes the experience feel more like a private school. I feel that my kindergartner is valued, well taken care of and safe.

Great experience so far , have two kids enrolled.
