River Rock School

I’ve had 2 kids go to lehi elementary and I have been very happy with their progress. Every teacher my kids have had have been amazing. They have worked hard and well to teach my kids. The school has out a lot of things into place over the years to get students test scores up, and to make the school a more safe place (I read a review from 2010 that talked about flood safety. That has been fixed and it is no longer an issue each spring). I have been very happy with my experience at this school and would highly recommend it to anyone considering moving into the area.

This school keep kids waiting for the bell to enter school when is snowing. This will see the kids trying to find refuge in the side of the school. Only in storms days they are allowed to enter directly to school. The school has good intentions; however, they don't know how to deal with kids with disabilities. They are old fashioned in education and they have to work to update the teaching techniques. Teachers are old fashion and pile with useless homework. They are great if your kid fit in. But if your kid is different in anyway, look for other schools.

LOVE Eaglecrest. It is by far our favorite of our children's education experience. Having lived in various places all over the country, we've settled in Lehi and couldn't be happier. we love Eaglecrest and love the atmosphere this community has. The administration is top notch, but our overall favorite is Mrs. Green, the librarian. She is so friendly and makes our kids feel so special. Battle of the books is a big bonus.

This school has fun teachers that help kids enjoy what they like. The teachers are also really kind and supportive to all kids at this school.

Per my notes above, we are not staying here. There is very little expected out of these kids. While I don't want my child to be stressed about school, there needs to be a middle ground. The teachers need to keep kids on grade level, on task, and communicate with the parents. This school is below my expectations as a parent. During this quarantine, there is hardly anything for him to do, most things are optional. His morning consists of a 5-minute writing assignment, a 10 min math session, optional spelling words, a teacher reads part of a book, and a little bit of writing.

North Point’s teachers are still the gold standard, but the vibe at the top has definitely shifted. We really miss the community first approach of the Roper era. Lately, the administration feels more interested in stirring the pot than building bridges, leading to a culture that feels a bit disconnected and impersonal. Great school, but the leadership needs to find its way back to the community driven roots that made us love this place.
