Read what parents are saying about Millcreek Jr High SchoolI have been amazed at how much everyone cares at this school, from the teachers, counselors, office personnel, and other staff. This is a fabulous school.
Posted by a parent on 3/10/2024I've had kids at Bountiful Jr. Centerville Jr. and Millcreek. My Daughter went to Bountiful the first year and then Millcreek the next two and liked Millcreek the best. Good teachers, great communication with parents, safe environment.
Posted by a parent on 9/22/2017The principal is what makes the teachers and students dread to go to the school. She makes unintelligent rules and is not involved in anything. She is not what principal should be. Maybe a vice principal, but not the principal. The teachers here are excellent and the involvement of seminary is well appreciated. The students here are very smart and I believe Millcreek is a very smart and very high performance school.

Posted by a parent on 8/4/2012This school lacks communication!! The teachers, and the Vice Principle treat the parents like they are beneath them instead of equals, I can only imagine how they treat our students.. What is the point of having online commutation if they never answer the parents concerns or emails? I am so glad my Son is in 9th grade and this is his last year there. Mueller Park Jr. high is a better school they actually care about the students and wan't them to succeed!!! I am sure the other Jr. high in this area are better then Millcreek too!! Very disappointed with the whole experience I should of pulled my kid out when he was in 7th grade.. live and learn my other 3 children will be attending a different Jr. high!!!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is really a great school. The principal studies the research of what improves success in students and actually implements them. It’s awesome. They have so many activities for the kids. Friday clubs is really neat. They take time to explore their interests outside of the day to day classroom. They have acting, singing, Minecraft and art clubs, to name a few. I think it’s really neat that they are allowing kids to foster more opportunities like that. It’s really cool. My son tried acting for a month and they had a school wide program where kids could perform. My son was in a play and there were kids around the school performing or showing their parents what they are doing. I really like the encouragement with parent involvement, they welcome parent volunteers in class and with the school. Our last school didn’t do that, it’s nice to be able to go and help out. It helps create a sense of community (in the school we moved from, it felt school was really separate and here I like how open they are in sharing what they are doing). They seem to have more opportunities her than our last school, the school counselor is amazing. One thing that really stands out to me is they have a meditation room. It’s a safe place where kids can go to help regulate their emotions when they are feeling imbalanced. I absolutely love the focus of the school is on the entire wellbeing of the child. They focus on getting their core needs met so they are emotionally regulated and in a state of mind to learn. The class sizes are not too big and from my experience have provided ample one-on-one attention. I’ve talked with other moms in the school who say the same thing. It was scary for my children to start a new school this year, and I’ll admit I was apprehensive at first as change can be difficult. I’m so glad we did. I adore this school, what it stands for and the school receptionists are even really cool. Which helps a lot as for most of us parents, that is our main interaction with the whole school. Great school.Parent Review11mo ago - Oak Hills School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is GREAT! I had 3 kids over the span of 7 years here at Oak Hills. I love the admin and teachers and I know whenever I had a concern I could bring it to their attention and have it resolved. The PTA is overkill and a little intense. I always joke, back to school morning you better bring your running shoes because each parent RUNS to the classroom to sign up for the Halloween houses or the Christmas around the world or the other seni-religious traditions this school maintains. I liked being involved but I don't like the feeling of the competitive stay-at-home moms. Overall, great school and your kids will be well cared for!Parent Review3y ago - Woods Cross School
