Awful experience overall, with only a few exceptions among the staff. My child learned very little here, came home angry almost every day, and was even nearly stabbed by another student—yet the other child faced no suspension. The band teacher frequently complained openly about not being paid enough

They are too busy trying to report people to CPS instead of getting to the root of the problem. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal and assistant principal do not care if your kid has a 504 or is in SPED. They would do and say anything to get those type of kids kicked out or written up. This may be a magnet school and I wish it wasn't. Parkdale was a great school that has supportive teachers, tutoring, after school activities and an awesome community feel. I came back years later and had all three of my kids there. The teacher support is still amazing! They were there for them academically and emotionally. My kids were happy to go there. I highly recommend!Parent Review9mo ago
