Read what parents are saying about Olympia Elementary SchoolMy son has been going to Olympia since Pre-K. I absolutely love this school. The teachers are amazing and Mrs. Brewer the school nurse is the best. Everyone is always friendly and courteous.
Posted by a parent on 7/26/2016Olympia Elementary is an amazing school that I HIGHLY recommend!! I had both my kids attend from Pre-K through 3rd grade. We had to move out of state, and it was REALLY sad and hard to leave. Olympia feels like home! You walk in and everyone knows you. You are treated like family! The teachers and the staff are amazing with the students. Their programs and activities are great and it is an exceptional learning environment!! MISS the SO much!!
Posted by a parent on 10/5/2014My daughter first year in this school. She was discriminated upon the first day. Teachers and staff at this school favor kids of white background If you are a multi race do not send your child here they WILL be treated different.
Posted by a parent on 6/8/2014my school is Olympia, teachers that care, my granddaughter had some problems and they took the time to work with her and give advice on the way she could focus and improve , specially I want to thank miss Saunders she is a teacher that cares.
Posted by a parent on 4/18/2014My children have attended Olympia for 4 years now and I can't even begin to say enough good things about it. The teachers and staff are wonderful and so caring. The kids run in the door giving hugs and high fives every morning with smiles on their faces. The teachers academically have been outstanding. The reviews regarding the unfair tardy punishment are ridiculous with the news only reporting half of the story as always. The parents refused to get their child to school on time after many warnings. The strict tardy policy we have is because of parents like this who think they are an exception to the rules. Oh and the punishment of the child sitting alone at lunch was approved by her parents. The student and parent could have stayed after school instead but then they couldn't have alerted the media about that. The child was joined by her family members so she wasn't alone and the table facing the wall is also where parents sit with their children to eat lunch, not nearly as horrible as they made it out to be. I think their child was more traumatized by the unnecessary news cameras. I would highly recommend Olympia, it is a great school!!

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is fantastic. We’ve had a wonderful experience here for my kids for preschool, kinder, and first grade. I don’t know why it doesn’t have a 10/10 rating because it is a meticulously organized and thoughtfully run school full of passionate and kind educators. We’ve had Armstrong, France, Hamilton, and England, and they have taken such good care of my kids and taught them so much and you can tell these women love what they do and all their students. The principal and staff are super motivated and keep parents updated regularly. On the sixth day of school the principal was greeting every student by their first name. I wouldn’t have believed it but when I dropped my kids off I watched her stand there and greet each student and she does that every morning, it’s incredible how loved my children feel. We even did distance learning last year for the pandemic and it was well organized given the circumstances and the teachers were so understanding and flexible, which we really needed. The teaching staff uses an app this year and last year called dojo to communicate with parents, it makes it so easy to stay in touch and message the teachers with questions and concerns and often the teacher sends out pictures of the kids doing activities throughout the day which really reassures me that they are in good hands. My only concerns are really more regarding the school district as a whole, I wish the kids were given more time outside as they only get two 15 minute recesses which is pretty standard nation wide but I would love to see more of a nature focus in the curriculum. Otherwise you can’t do better than this school!Parent Review2y ago - River City Believers Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can’t say enough about how wonderful this school and the teachers/staff are! It is such a loving, welcoming community. They have rigorous academics and assistance for students who may be struggling. There is a large variety of extracurriculars and sports offered as well. Most importantly, your children will be taught in a setting where morals are taught and valued, and they will be allowed to learn about the Catholic faith and have it integrated into their day.Parent Review1y ago - First Baptist Academy Of Universal City
