I have ADHD and although my acomadations have been implemented (mostly) they dont do a great job about always following it. The teachers also do not give a damn about bullying and students mental health

My child is a 6th grader there and this year she has been thriving academically (more so than in elementary school), and she has been doing so well that she got invited to join NJHS this year.I love the involvement of the newer administrat
Posted by a parent on 3/19/2025This school is really good with safety. The teachers are wonderful and the students are kind. The principal is “nice” and teachers are “good” at teaching. I would go to this school and make my kids go to this school. (Just glazing)

Posted by a parent on 1/25/2023The principal Mrs. Diester is rude and unprofessional. There is no support for students at this school. I have loved lisd until we got to lakeview. When you try to address concerns there is no one to help or support.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBB Owen has been great so far! I love the fact that there is only 2 classes per grade (I think 4th or 5th grade has 3 classes). I’m not a fan of the tardies, but that’s on me getting my child to school on time as well. I wish there were more extracurricular activities for the kids, but we started during COVID and of course that’s still a thing. The teachers are all great and the specials are engaging and fun. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIm in 8th grade ow but this school was great when i went to it! other than our 5th grade stem teacher being a pedifile (now fired) the teachers were great and really encouraging! I loved most of the teachers i had and really enjoyed my time there. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI always believe in the importance of fair play and the teachers that I had were the ones that taught me the importance of fair play and to also remember the importance of building the courage to stand up to people and respect for others. I liked watching Arthur and I believe that it is a good way to be a hands-on learner. I always believe in the fact that first impressions are crucial. If I have my favorite moments of Morningside is that the teachers are fairly understanding of people and that I believe in the importance of where you came from, because it may do you a huge favor. I was a teacher here and please believe me when I tell you they don’t care about minorities. I witnessed a teacher call a special needs student a derogatory name and admin did nothing about it!
