Posted by a parent on 7/28/2016My daughters have been attending Hirsch for 3 1/2 yrs, I have one daughter that graduated from 5th last year and she had one of the BEST teacher I know, Mrs. Harrison and my second daughter has been there for two yrs, her Kindergarten teacher was another AWESOME teacher! The first year I was looking for another school and fast, but then we got MR. Wilson and some different teachers and by making the foundation of the school strong the school is awesome!!! I would definitely recommend Hircsh to any parents looking for a great school that is still changing things, so I'm looking forward to the future here!!!
Posted by a parent on 2/4/2015I am really happy and excited about the Principal Mr. Wilson and his staff. They truely care about my two kids. I see the school growing back into the caring community that it used to be. I can't wait to see what the PTO comes up with next. I went to this school when I was a little girl and I am proud to say that while the school has gone through its trails and tribulations; it's coming back strong thanks in part to the administration, the staff and the PTO. Keep up the good work.

PTO is making great improvements to get parents and teachers working together and getting after school activities for the school and community to enjoy. The new principle is amazing and very supportive of PTO. The staff is all awesome . It is nice to feel like you can go to the administration with concerns and really be heard. (Though I don't have too many concerns, usually praise or questions) We are now in the 2nd year of the new principle and I can't wait to see the improvements that are sure to follow. Getting rid of the previous principle was the best improvement EVER!!
Posted by a parent on 9/26/2013well i can say im one of the most "Blessing Mom" my son always have the best teacher's ever, and plus Im 100% focus in my child education, is not 100% school responsability, and teachers are not baby sitters, thank u so much to Mrs Piesyck, Mrs Sparks,Mrs Lyons,Mrs Lane.... my top teachers and i will always always so thankful with this to ladies......they will be always in our heart, so sad we don't live in USA anymore, but those teachers remind me how important they are in our kids life.....

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average2 of my children went here from 2017-2020. The teachers are great and really teach and pay attention to the students. The teacher who stood out the most was Ms Petite. She made sure my daughter had the resources and support she needed even when she needed a little extra help. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school needs to be reassessed! My kids went here for 2 years passing with flying colors. I moved so now we are in a different district which I thank God for every day. My daughter was in the 3rd grade reading on a second grade level a beginners second grade level. You know its bad when the teacher at Salyers calls to tell you to get your child out the school. I spoke w my daughter and she said the teacher never teaches. My then second grader can help my then 3rd grader with homework once we moved schools. That itself speaks volume. Elementary is the kid’s foundation to life and this school doesnt prepare them for anything. My kids beg to go back to Salyers because in my daughters words, “i didnt do anything but be good and go to the treasure box because i was the only kid being quiet”Parent Review6mo ago - Chet Burchett Elementary School
