West Avenue Elementary School

The current and immediately former principal of the school are on their way to running it in the ground. Before the two most recent administrators, morale was high for the teachers, the kids enjoyed their learning, and it was great success schoolwide. Not the case anymore. When friends of friends are hired to run the school, it will never be back to its former glory. Look elsewhere for the sake your child.

As a parent I see the changes that have been made, they push your student academically to be the best they can be.

Best Christian School ever! My grandson beg us to let him stay until 12 grade and now is asking us if his unborn brother can go there too. I highly recommend!

I’m honestly really disappointed with our experience at this school. From what we’ve seen, there is a serious lack of professionalism among staff. There have been situations that should never happen in a school environment, including inappropriate relationships and behavior that make it hard to trust the leadership and overall culture.Communication is another major issue. Important information is either unclear, last-minute, or constantly changing, which makes it difficult for parents to stay informed and involved. There’s no consistency, and it feels like there’s no real structure in place.Socially, the environment has been just as frustrating. There’s a very cliquish atmosphere among parents, and unfortunately, that energy trickles down to the kids. It’s very obvious when a child isn’t considered part of the “group,” and no child should ever feel excluded or unwelcome at school.Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unwelcoming social environment have made this a really negative experience for our family. We expected a supportive and structured environment for our child, and unfortunately, this school has not delivered that.
