Rawlinson Middle School

Severe bullying involving my first grade child with disabilities getting hit, kicked, and punched by another student. Another incident regarding children telling my child they wish to end his life, and “he’s next”, but administration does nothing because it’s “student conflict”, “they can’t understand him” and “they haven’t heard any reports/seen anything”. You haven’t heard any reports?? IM MAKING A REPORT! This isn’t even the first time a student has wished to K!LL him. He would come home stating he had a bad day or felt stressed. My child is suffering severe night terrors, severe anxiety, behavioral issues, and spiritual warfare from constant threats and bullying. It got to a point where I needed to withdraw him and get him professional counseling. Do not send your child here! They do not care about your child! They have their favorites.

I am extremely disappointed and concerned about my daughter’s experience at this school. She has only been here four weeks and is already struggling emotionally because of repeated bullying, physical aggression, and what I believe is discriminatory treatment. My daughter is biracial (Black and White), and she has been bullied because she is not Hispanic. When she reported the bullying to her teacher, she was told the teacher “didn’t care.” I find that completely unacceptable. The teacher has also gotten directly in my daughter’s face and yelled at her. After I addressed my concerns with the teacher, I became increasingly concerned about retaliation and further mistreatment toward my child. My daughter has also been hit in the chest multiple times by boys, and I have not seen adequate action taken to prevent these incidents from continuing. No child should have to repeatedly experience physical aggression at school without appropriate intervention.I am also very concerned about campus supervision. Children appear to be allowed to move between portable buildings and the main building without adequate supervision, creating additional safety concerns.Everything has been documented. I have notified the appropriate authorities and am requesting a full investigation into the bullying, physical incidents, teacher conduct, discrimination concerns, and campus supervision. I am also considering contacting local news stations because I believe these concerns deserve public attention if the school refuses to address them appropriately. My daughter deserves to feel safe, respected, and protected at school. Four weeks into the school year, she should not already be struggling this badly because of how she is being treated. I will continue pursuing this through the appropriate channels until these concerns are properly addressed.

Worst school I would not recommend at all they have a two buddy system which inappropriate things happen in bathroom during recess and lunch. Counselor only said boys will be boys apparently normal to have boys pull each other’s pants down and issue is lack of monitoring too many kids for teachers. Apparently it’s an ongoing issue with prek and kinder. They do not do anything about this. I Do Not Recommend at all!

A pretty school with decent facilities, but bullying is a major problem. Food is a major problem. Drugs are a problem. Fights are a problem. Admin is also a problem. In my experience i got bullied for over a year and we brought it to admins attention it was a month of me being in and out of the office with bullying still going on. A friend and I also had to fill out and incident report. All that was done was a call home and NO punishment. The food is disgusting and extremely overpriced. Every week you find out that someone else was doing drugs or vaping in the bathroom. There are constant fist fights between students. Admin does little to nothing to support you. There is like a hierarchy of students and the people on the top won’t get any punishment (ex: the football team and the pastors kids) The football team gets more funding than anything else. Why do they need a youtube series with professional camera crews just for us to loose every game? Don’t even get me started on the work. Most of the time we are stuck staring at computer screens for 6+ hrs a day. The dress code is also way too lenient . Please, before you enroll your kids here read ALL the reviews on this site and niche. EXPECIALLY the ones made by ccs students. Becuase this school OWN students are struggling and nothing is being done to help us. This school can do better with the amounts we pay them.

Cornerstone has been an incredible experience for my children! It is a school built on the Word of God and academic excellence I am so thankful for the caring, Godly administration, advisors, teachers, and coaches! My kids love the school and we can’t imagine going anywhere else.
