Medio Creek Elementary School

If I could choose all over again we would have chosen to stay off base and take our chances with another school. Out of the four schools we have dealt with, this one is the worst and is at the bottom of the list. If bullying, harassment, and sexual harassment are a concern for you, do not expect this school to abide by their handbook/policy and do what they say they are going to do. We've experienced many teacher's not taking the time to get to know the students. In kinder our child was reading fluently, and the teacher had no clue. Also beware that many of their teacher's don't utilize the resources in their toolbox to improve as teachers. If your child having a voice and speaking up for themselves is something you teach your children, almost most teachers at this school will discipline a child without having the full story of what happened. If you aren't 'keen' on testing scores for school funds, don't worry, your child could be a straight A student but still 'recommended' to attend tutoring because they tested low. Imagine what that does to child that thought they were doing well in class and trying to explain to them why they need testing. Not an ideal 'most if not all' children will understand. There's also this whole thing with the dress code that feels very 1950s, so there's that. Overall, our experience has been horrible and I don't recommend this school at all based on our personal experience. I do know others that love the school and haven't had any issues.

Looking for a new school for my kid. They like to change stuff with out telling parent. The kid are never learning they always have parties extra activities or they don’t have school at all . If you are not Hispanic or Latino they don’t treat you the same.

When I went to pick up my son the teacher gave him 5 dollars

This school was the worse. First they did a whole bullying investigation on my 6 year old without my knowledge. How do you investigate a child. I found out when a letter was mailed to my home. Secondly I was out of the county on a work trip. They call to tell me my child did something on Friday. Remind you it’s Tuesday. And he can’t catch the school bus home. I had a teen watching my children who don’t drive. My thing is if my children are doing something wrong why not contact me so I can correct the issue or involve me in what’s going on with my children. My son teacher said she advocates for him a lot because he was the only black child in her class. I feel as if my children were being singled out because of their race. I’m involved deeply in my children education and life. So for me to be left out of things made me very upset. This the only neighborhood school. The worse. I sent my kids to idea and everything from homework to issues as well as my son being in special education got addressed immediately. The staff here are horrible

I just wanted to let you know that it is very bad February 2, 2026 right now. I wanna go leave my son at school. You have the sewer 18 wheeler taking out the sewer at this hour in the morning. Kids are walking by smelling all that bad waist that comes out of the tubes y’all should do it at night or after school when nobody’s there Please be caution thank you.

My children have gone to almost every elementary within a 5 mile radius of Sky Harbor. This is the first school they’ve loved to go to school to every single day. They haven’t been bullied like they have at every other school. They have a ton of family engagement events and lots of clubs for the kids to partake in. The community is so strong in this school and I absolutely love it. I transfer my kids yearly from their home campus to this campus. I can’t say enough about the teachers at this school. They’re so great with the kids and meeting them where they are daily. Even the principal is on the ground and knows the students. Last year my daughter’s teacher taught economics by selling crafts to students, the community and parents. They used the profits to buy the entire class snow cones on field day so no student was left out. The special needs and ARDs are respected and they keep you updated with emails and phone calls regularly. I haven’t experienced that with other schools either.
