Sky Harbour Elementary School

This school has serious issues that impact both students and families. Communication between staff and parents is often inconsistent, and concerns regarding grades and student behavior are not always addressed transparently. Discipline procedures appear ineffective, which creates an environment where learning is frequently disrupted.Student achievement does not seem to be a priority, and there is little evidence of meaningful academic growth or accountability. Family engagement is extremely limited, and parents are often made to feel unwelcome or excluded from the school community.Leadership is another major concern. Administrative decisions lack transparency, and many parents feel their concerns are dismissed rather than addressed honestly. The Special Education department also appears to struggle with high staff turnover, making it difficult to maintain consistency and support for students.Overall, the school culture reflects low accountability, weak communication, and limited trust between families and administration.

Looking for a new school for my kid. They like to change stuff with out telling parent. The kid are never learning they always have parties extra activities or they don’t have school at all . If you are not Hispanic or Latino they don’t treat you the same.

When I went to pick up my son the teacher gave him 5 dollars

This school was the worse. First they did a whole bullying investigation on my 6 year old without my knowledge. How do you investigate a child. I found out when a letter was mailed to my home. Secondly I was out of the county on a work trip. They call to tell me my child did something on Friday. Remind you it’s Tuesday. And he can’t catch the school bus home. I had a teen watching my children who don’t drive. My thing is if my children are doing something wrong why not contact me so I can correct the issue or involve me in what’s going on with my children. My son teacher said she advocates for him a lot because he was the only black child in her class. I feel as if my children were being singled out because of their race. I’m involved deeply in my children education and life. So for me to be left out of things made me very upset. This the only neighborhood school. The worse. I sent my kids to idea and everything from homework to issues as well as my son being in special education got addressed immediately. The staff here are horrible

I just wanted to let you know that it is very bad February 2, 2026 right now. I wanna go leave my son at school. You have the sewer 18 wheeler taking out the sewer at this hour in the morning. Kids are walking by smelling all that bad waist that comes out of the tubes y’all should do it at night or after school when nobody’s there Please be caution thank you.

My community is considered low-income, including myself as I am a college student and single mother taking care of my kids by myself financially. With that being said I do not appreciate an employee of Hidden Cove Elementary making unnecessary comments such as my house looks like no one lives there, looks ABANDONED, no one answered the door, hmm no one answered the door is probably because I was at school furthering my education or work to provide for my kids that I'm doing alone! I know what the house looks like, why do you think I'm going to school?! To graduate, get my degree, make the big bucks, and move into a bigger, better house that we can call home and my hard work will pay off! You work with kids and are an adult so you SHOULD know not to make those kind of comments. That's not the worst part, the worst part where you messed up is saying that IN-FRONT of my child! Okay, you obviously have a decent income since you completed school and working at one to pay your bills and live in your nice house, but technically rubbing your income in peoples faces is something that you just DON'T DO. When I was in elementary school, I was taught "If you don't have anything nice to say than don't say anything at all." HELLO, we as adults are supposed to be that leading example. I hope when you get home and are eating your steak and potatoes, slip into your luxury nightgown, put on your expensive cream, watch Netflix on your big-screen, while sitting on your big comfy sofa, you are thinking about what you said to a low-income family!

My daughter has Learn so much at this school.
