Read what parents are saying about Jefferson Middle SchoolI am just elated that my kid is done with this school. Teachers don’t have control over the classes and administration is terrible. There has been bullying with no consequences and teachers with no control on the class most of the time. If you have a choice pick a different one.
Posted by a parent on 6/25/2023As a current student here, I can say that most students aren't interested in learning at all. Teachers are either too invested or not invested enough. A lot of teachers don't care about the students life's other than their grades. A few teachers are amazing and are the reason I haven't left this school but many of them don't care enough about the students. The school does nothing about statements, abuse or emotional problems. It takes weeks to get called in and when you tell them about your problems they rarely ever do anything. The kids in the special education program at our school are not payed any more attention to than normal kids. They are heavily bullied and left out and they aren't given the same chances and students who are able. I honestly wish I could've rated safety a 0. I never thought that every period I would be thinking if the route to my next class was safe or not. Kids get bullied physically and mentally in front of the teachers and most teachers don't even realize. There are at least 2 fights per day and I don't think there is one person at this school who doesn't have someone that wants to physically or mentally hurt them. This school is a dangerous place to most kids and it's a shame. The last thing I'm going to mention is the unfair dress code. Teachers tend to less harshly dress code students they like or students that have less curves. The more curves you have and the more 'attractive' you are the more likely you are to get dress coded. My words might seem unnecessary but these are my honest words. If I get in trouble for saying my honest opinions at school then so be it.

Posted by a parent on 9/26/2022Jefferson is a great school the coaches are great. The teachers actually care about you.
Posted by a parent on 9/8/2022Every we do so many thing like fall festival, Reindeer games, and your school dances. All the teachers are just a amazing, well most of the. One of the 7th grade and most of the 6th grade teachers are very mean so times. I am not going to say any names. Also for or you should really do dance because we do so much and it really fun.The only bad thing at the school is the dress code. I know every school is the same, but none do anything about it except for here. Also like every school the food is the best, but good half the time.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is in 3rd grade and we moved here from California. He LOVES this school. His teacher does a very good job at keeping me informed. There is NO homework, which at first I was apprehensive about, but to be honest it has been amazing for our family time. So far we love this school!Parent Review1y ago - Brauchle Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could give this school zero stars I would. My child has adhd and is on a 504 plan. This school did not follow his plan. His teacher pegged him as a “bad kid” because he is hyper and she was constantly reprimanding him in front of the other students. This then caused all the kids in his class to not want to be his friend because he is now the “bad kid”. I know this because children would approach me and tell me this. His teacher also told me that I needed to put him on medication ( in front of him in the car pool line, as my child was getting into his booster seat). In addition, another child was picking on my child and they attempted to excuse it because that boy has autism and adhd. First off, every child should be treated equally. It’s not okay for my kid to continue to get picked on because that child also has autism. Every kid has something going on in their lives (because again mine also has adhd), bullying is inexcusable. And need I mention they shouldn’t be releasing another child’s medical info to other parents (it’s against the law). Or in my child’s case, be getting involved in the medical decisions of those parents. Stay away from this school if you can. It will only stress out your child and make them doubt their character (my kid started to literally think he was a bad kid just because he is a little hyper) and make you feel helpless and my child is only in kinder. Some teachers don’t need to be teachers. He’s moved on to another school and has an amazing teacher and many friends. That goes to show that his old teacher was toxic (my son’s therapist that helps him control his impulses- even said so, that “ she’s breeding an unhealthy environment” and that’s why all the kids in her class were mean to each other and Burke did nothing about it.Parent Review1y ago - Nichols Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe support of the staff and Principals in this school is AMAZING and supportive to all kids and families. It’s a very large school but is run extremely well considering how many students go there. Everyone is welcoming and helpful to student’s success and I encourage families to reach out if they need help as I know they go above and beyond to help the kids. I would definitely recommend this school!Parent Review4mo ago
