New to the area and neighbors recommended this school over idea down the street. Everyone is very unprofessional, and the staff in the front is no different. They all look like they regret walking in every morning. The 504 is a joke, my son has to ASK for his extra time rather separating him from the class as a whole for testing so he doesn’t feel forced to complete. On serval occasions my child was hurt on campus and everytime is was “out of view” or “ he-said-she-said” words of the principal. Once I challenged the principals opinion on my son coming home with a bruise she was RUDE and defensive. The ladies in the front office are always “munching” on snack and will lick their fingers clean of food and proceed to flip through papers and hand it to me. I called once asking if my child could be pulled from class and the lady whom answered the phone told me “no we don’t do that, goodbye” and hung up on me. I cannot wait for the year to be completed so I will never have to deal with such unhelpful people

My son did the Headstart’s program here but the overall experience with the school horrible. I have never once seen the principal wait I seen her once coming out her car she walked in disappeared never seen her again when you walk through the halls all the teachers are gossiping yelling at a kid and just look miserable . I don’t understand the need for background check if Headstart parents can’t go back there when it’s urgent !! They put so much rules on Headstart parents like not parking in the front but there own parents do it . Staff needs to be more approachable

School was okay here! 3rd and 4th grade were overall pleasant and I loved my teachers! Second year here felt chaotic at times though.Afterschool we had Learning Tree with this man named Jonathan. It was a long time ago but during what was supposed to be recess he sometimes made us march in lines for whatever it was that he was mad at us about and told us we had no common sense. He was really hard to be around sometimes but otherwise LT was fun. The pregnant lady was super fun and nice though! I loved my time there with her.

I enjoyed all of my early childhood at this school and believe I wouldnt be where I am without the support of my old admin and teachers.

My children attended this school and the truth leaves a lot to be desired, the educational system is not good and if the educational system is not good, even if the teachers are good, it is useless. Bullying every day, and the truth is that what surprised me the most is the number of physical fights that occur in the school, it’s elementary not even middle school.

My son is constantly bullied and it is constantly being reported but nothing is ever done. Kids wander around all the time. The students spend most days watching movies like goosebumps and the teacher has trouble teaching. The students talk over the teacher Anderson lesson plans are never made in advance. They’ve been learning the same thing for over a week now. The principal is rude and pretentious and I can’t wait until my child leaves.

I am extremely disappointed with the principal’s approach to communication. She avoids engaging with parents, offers no transparency about teachers or class progress, and leaves us completely in the dark. Instead of addressing concerns, she deflects blame. For the benefit of the school, it would be far better to have a principal who truly prioritizes student well-being, is open to parent concerns, and fosters effective communication to bring about real positive change. Mrs. Mantle should be removed from the Principal position!
