Ft Sam Houston Elementary School

I went for three days and got in a fight the staff saw the whole thing and expelled me even with cameras I saw clearly showing me sitting there and getting kicked in the groin and punch in my eye. It hurt so bad. But what hurt even more, was the fact that grown adults have favoritism over someone thats been there for a while over someone who just got punched and kicked. Shame on this school. I truly will never go back there even for a field trip.

As an administrator at the campus, I see how hard the staff works. They are fully dedicated to the students. In the last three years, Cameron has seen phenomenal growth as one of the best schools in the city!

Principal at this school is unprofessional and a bully. He likes to talk down to parents in front of children. He should not be allowed to be a principal. Beware of this school.

Staff is very willing to help! Great PTA support. Award winning teachers who actually care about the kids well roundedness.

If you are looking for a school with a communal feel where parents are familiar not only with their child's teacher but with all administration and teachers in other grades, this is the school for your child. Even the custodial and cafeteria staff know all the children by name and are greeted by them on a daily basis. Teachers know their craft, know their students and families. This is my 4th year teaching at this school and I have never taught at a school that has felt like everyone is family and everyone's opinion matters. This school is very strong on diversity and social/emotional learning. Children learn that differences are a norm and how to advocate for other children who are having a difficult day. There are times, where I am walking down the hall and I get tackled from behind with a big hug from a student. Teachers absolutely love their little scholars and they feel important and understand that teachers want them to succeed. Teachers are extremely knowledgeable in their craft. Special Education department is flexible and knowledgeable. Special Education teachers advocate for their student's need to provide the tools they need to be successful in the classroom.

students are awesome some teachers are a bit harsh but they are very nice i reccomend this school its improved a lot through out the years ( :
