Cole Elementary School

So far, the teachers and staff seem to be really engaged. They have a lot of fun events, but seem to be a little short staffed. I wish more folks wanted to be teachers. In any case, our daughter loves her class and her teacher. Communication is great.

I personally love Ott elementary and have not heard anything bad about this school. We have lived here for 4 years and all 2 of our children have attended Ott Elementary. My daughter has an IEP which they helped her tremendously! My son is going into second grade and he loves school here. Teachers are hard working and care about their students. Also with all the dangers of school shootings Ott is one of the few schools that have installed bullet proof glass lobby and you cannot enter without them buzzing you in. Plus they really try to get parents involved in activities which is great for your kids!

My two grandchildren are in this school and it is impressive how much they have learned and how the teachers work 1:1 with them to achieve their goals. The dual language program is excellent.

This is a great school. My kids received so much personal attention from every single teacher and staff there. They remember names and just go out of the way to make the learning environment a happy, friendly, and fun one.Communication is open and wonderful between teachers and parents. They offer a lot of fun events throughout the year and so many extracurricular clubs for students. I was pleasantly surprised by all they offer in an elementary school.

This school does not treat minorities good at all. My daughters rights were violated by the schools nurse when her clothes were taken off and while she was already scared & vulnerable the school nurse called her ashy. My daughter was mentally, and emotionally abused here. Another minority students rights were violated when the nurse went against his IEP plan. He is non verbal autistic. When he needs to go to the bathroom the nurse has to take him. However he was denied by the nurse only for his mother to come to the school because he had been sitting in his desk crying for 45 mins. When his mother checked him, he had been sitting in his urine and feces that whole time. We will not accept this.
