Read what parents are saying about Kelly Lane Middle SchoolI wrote an honest review and it was taken down . There is a serious problem with bullying!!!
Posted by a parent on 3/21/2023My son loves going to Kelly Lane, however, I have not had much communication from teachers and staff. My son keeps me in the loop, however, wish I got updates if my son is falling behind. I have to consistently just check in. I also have not seen communication on meet and greets, but possibly due to COVID.
Posted by a parent on 2/10/2022If something happens in the school they don’t tell you the schools more caught up in enforcing the dress code than actually teaching kids stuff they hold back the entire class if one student is slow or misbehaving and they give too many warnings for behavior that people think it’s a joke

She is a great teacher in every way. She is organized, effective and goes above and beyond what we expected. Both our Boys want to stay at this school and that says a lot about the staff.Parent Review3y ago - Timmerman Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had 4 kids pass through Brookhollow. It's a great school with many caring and passionate teachers. It's a smaller school. This lends itself to your kids getting a more personal experience. Teachers have time to focus on all of them individually. We really enjoyed our years at Brookhollow.Parent Review1mo ago - Murchison Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter entered this school in the middle of the year, coming from another state. At first I thought the school seemed pretty good but then my daughter started getting bullied regularly and would tell the teachers but they didn't care. I'm not one of those moms that thinks my kid needs to be in a little bubble and never hear anything negative but when it gets to a point where she comes home with a welt on her face and a swollen wrist from some kid bending it back, it becomes an issue. Once it got to this point, I contacted the school. The principal ensured me that the kid was being punished and that he now had an adult watcher on the playground so that he couldn't bother my daughter or any of the other kids anymore. That lasted about a week before we was doing stuff to her again. On top of this, my daughter informed me several times that her teacher was screaming things in her ear and was always screaming at two other kids in her class. I thought she was over dramatizing and ignored it because I couldn't see her teacher doing that. I said something to her teacher via email and the response I got made me think it may be true. Another funny thing is the school nurse called me one day saying my daughter didn't feel well but she seemed well enough to go back to class. She asked if I wanted to talk to her and I did. I thought my daughter sounded weird but talked and told her to finish out the day. When I picked her up, she stated she wasn't at the nurses office that day. So, I was talking to another little girl, that's why she sounded strange. So, I guess the nurse doesn't know who she has in her office. The final straw with me was the end of year class awards celebration. The teacher made up awards for each student, picking their strongest points. Kids were getting awards for most responsible, bookworm, sports star, etc. Even if it wasn't an academic award, it was positive in some way. When my daughter got up there, she got an award "future actress". The teacher went on to tell all the students and teachers how the award was given because she was the class drama queen. While I admit, my daughter can be dramatic, she has plenty of good qualities that could have been showcased in an award. I was humiliated for her but played it off like being an actress was a good thing so hopefully she wouldn't realize how rude that was. Didn't work. The last day of school she broke down crying about her embarrassment. The speech teacher was greatParent Review1y ago - Highland Park Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m not happy with one of the teacher in the school. She teaches 2grade class. She was rushing my kid to finish lunch because of she thought my kid food so oily ( smell). If our food is smell, she can write us the note, and we don’t let our kid bring it again, but she can’t rush my kid have to eat hurry. I’m not happy about that, if my kid eat too hurry and get problems, who is gonna respond for that.Parent Review1y ago - Stonehill Christian Academy
