Alexander Middle School

There seems to be an underlying issue among the first grade staff. Many complaints and concerns from students and parents alike.

The older lady at the front desk is very rude. I was called several times throughout the year about my child being hit by other children. Not very comforting. I paid for a shirt from PTA and never received it. Called principal to inform said he would get back and never did. The teachers we experienced were very kind! Most everyone else was supportive and nice. Homework was not issued often so I did not have a way to see what my kids were working on. Wish I true identifiers to see where they stand and how to help them more. Very different from previous school.

I rate this school 10/10. My children attend to this school , and they have the best teachers I can think of in place, as well as the best leaders. Starting from Mrs. Gifford, the Principal, to both Assistant Principals Mrs. Guzman and Mrs. Mathis, a great school nurse Mrs. Debbie Dick and a good school counselor Mrs. Flores. I appreciate all they have done and do for both my sons, who are now 3rd and 4th graders. They have attended this school since Kindergarten and it started with a great Kinder Teacher Mrs. Preston. Great job Mrs. Gifford, and keep up the good work. You truly are a great leader.

Expect your children to work hard and develop strong values. This school is designed for diligent students and emphasizes engaging families. The curriculum is one year ahead compared to public schools, and their middle school AP classes are two years advanced. Students are definitely taught responsibility and core values. We love the school. We have been part of St Helen for over 8 years.

If I would've known my son what I know now. I would've not enrolled my son at this school. He did not learn one thing and this is me not exaggerating. We withdrew him and placed him in public school and not only is he thriving and learning but he actually WANTS to go to school!! Save your money or go somewhere else!

A wonderful example of Montessori done right. The staff is dedicated, the environment is inspiring, and the attention to detail is impressive. Everything from the classrooms to the outdoor areas is well thought-out.
