Read what parents are saying about Evans Middle SchoolThe bullying here is so out of hand and swept under the rug. You can report it to the staff till you're blue in the face and they will not address a thing. If anything requires ant attention or action I would recommend talking to Mr. Newman he actually cares for those student and will get to the bottom of the situations.
Posted by a parent on 9/20/2023Evans is a great inclusive middle school! My children have had both athletic and academic success during their time there. The teachers and admin create a positive and encouraging school culture.

Posted by a parent on 3/2/2021This school has wonderful teachers. Its one of the better middle schools in Lubbock. As for the rating given 5-13-2010, ALL OF THE SCHOOLS have that, unfortunately. But Evans has a very LOW number of incidents per year...Maybe 3 per year. Compared to OL Slaton Middle School, this place is perfect. OL Slaton is crime, drug and violence ridden. Children are SAFE at Evans Middle School. Talk about over dramatic for the other review.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSpecial Education teacher and Dyslexia teacher were phenomenal. Sad that the regular teachers are too prideful to go by your IEP plan and they go against the special Ed Teacher. There’s too much drama and the clicks are ridiculous between the teachers. They are more focused on drama and it’s leaving our children behind. Just because they have been teaching for a long time does not mean they are good teachers. We will not be returning. Mrs. Watson & Mrs Bocko were terrific.Parent Review2y ago - Parsons Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is continuing to provide great education to the students. The teachers that my daughter had so far has been excellent in being patient, caring and supporting my daughter to succeed in school. The actual school building needs an update and they are currently in progress.Parent Review1y ago - Stewart Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student here for 11 years. Most of my life (I'm now 20). I was bullied by virtually my entire grade and teachers and despite letting admin know, nothing was done. When my parents alerted the school of an event that occured at home relating to expirences at school, they were told I (13 year-old) was lying. I will try to focus on the "important" things in this review. This school prides itself on academics, yet is years behind public School. I had straight A's my entire life, when I moved to public school in 9th grade my grades dropped to loses and even a couple f's. I also did not learn much about how a Christian should live, as I was being taught how to be kind from the least kind people I knew at the time. Also, neat little sidebar, we got taught how to deny climate change in 7th grade and why scientists are after Christianity. Regardless of your personal beliefs, I don't think kids should be taught apologetics when they are literally just starting puberty. Also, your kid will not learn great social skills. I have an extremely hard time communicating with other adults. I think that is in large part due to the fact I did not have to make new friends from first grade onwards because I already knew everyone in my grade. You may be reading this thinking "well I wouldn't WANT my kid to communicate with non-believers" but I even have a hard time socializing with other Christians. Think of it like how in extremely remote places the people there often have a specific dialect that is virtually unintelligible from anyone outside the community. In my experience southcrest creates a very similar affect. If I had to pick one thing from the school that I think is proficient, I would say they're reading and writing program is pretty good. Other than that I have no kind words for this school.Other Review1y ago
