Read what parents are saying about Robertson Elementary SchoolThings I like about this school:DiversityEmotional Support to studentsTeaching methodsThings I don't like:The Principal makes the students to play in the hot sun/cold weather. If she thinks its hot, then its hot. If she thinks its cold, then its cold. No concerns for the kids. She decides to keep a lame game to know the teacher, making the kids wait outside in 110'F heat. She decides to have assembly in the peak heat hours. Makes the kids play in the cold weather, letting them fall sick.
Posted by a parent on 2/26/2024This school has some strict teachers and staff who love to yell at kindergarten and below grades. Some kids are terrified and get depressed due to it. If you contact the admin they will defend the teacher/staff. Beware, if you see your child's mental changes and the admin it’s not helpful. Find a lawyer or find a new school. I know It’s ridiculous that we paid high property taxes but have to move kids to another school .
Posted by a parent on 11/13/2023My oldest did K-5 grade at Robertson and I have two children currently attending Robertson. We have experienced a variety administrative styles, and all have been great, but I especially love the current staff and administration! They are helping students develop intrinsic motivation to succeed, improve, and build the school community, and they have fun while they do it! They are diversifying instructional formats so students aren’t just on Chromebooks, but actually creating, experiencing, and seeing how their learning applies in life. Last year all students set goals for a full year of growth in every subject. The teachers regularly checked on progress towards those goals and sent folders home to keep parents informed regarding what the goals were and how students were progressing. One of my children has always struggled with math, and the teachers were especially attentive to my child’s math goals and communicated with me about areas that needed extra work and provided materials for us to support at home. On top of that, they provided an extra after school support called “STAAR Camp” where the students were able to work with a different teacher in the subject areas they needed support. My child had fun, understood concepts that had been a challenge, and felt loved and supported. My child also ended up making more than a full years growth! That would not have been possible without the investment and love of the incredible Robertson staff and admin! The teachers are excited to be there and are invested in continuing to improve the school. They are easily reachable and genuinely care for the students. The principal, Mrs. Briggs, always welcomes parents to reach out and ask questions or share concerns. She encourages family engagement and invites parents to the Friday assembly each week. She is dedicated to making Robertson the best school in Frisco ISD and makes every decision based on what she feels is best for the students. The school is proactive when there are bullying issues. One of my children had a challenge with a classmate and all I did was mention it to the teacher and it was never an issue again. I always feel that my children are safe at Robertson. Parents are encouraged to come on campus and volunteer at events. Throughout the school year there are opportunities for families to come together and connect. Robertson truly is an incredible school dedicated to improving and supporting all students!
Posted by a parent on 9/8/2023I want to share my enthusiasm for Robertson Elementary School and express how much my children have flourished in its nurturing environment. We absolutely love Robertson!! Having two children enrolled at Robertson has allowed us to witness firsthand the incredible impact Principal Briggs has had on creating a safe and positive learning environment. Her dedication and leadership have fostered an atmosphere where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The teachers at Robertson are truly exceptional. They engage students with innovative teaching methods and motivate them to reach their full potential. My children have developed a genuine love for learning, which is undoubtedly a testament to the school's commitment to academic excellence.
Posted by a parent on 8/10/2023NO planning for the school, kids just come do something and get out, the worst part of the school is unmanaged traffic, worst traffic, no one to control, the lines, people randomly come in any directions , park in any direction, can walk in any direction suddenly, nonsense about traffic, oh man during rainy days its crazy to pick or drop your child, no traffic patterns at all.

The school did nothing and the child continued to bully her at school and home and the principal did the bare minimum. Watch for the section 8 in this district, the school babies the poor and nobody else!Parent Review8mo ago - Brent Elementary
