Teachers and staff are extremely helpful and caring. There seems to consistently be new opportunities available.Posted by a parent on 11/2/2017
Not a good school. Teachers allow students to use cell for games. Coaches don't teach. Children pass without doing the work.Posted by a parent on 5/2/2014
it pretty bad cause now the only good thing in the school is horrible. That's the athletics program, now the old head coach is gone and the football team hasn't won one game!!!!Posted by a student on 9/28/2013

i went to Lexington ISD for sixteen years and i always thought that their athletics was really good but that's pretty much the only good thing about the school. Also pretty much all of their funding goes to the athletics department and they use barely any of it on acedemics.Posted by a student on 10/19/2012

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnless you come from money or graduated from Lexington and have deep roots, your kids will not be successful. If your kid has a learning disability, FORGET getting any help without a doctors note to force it and then even still you have to babysit the school. PE education is the worst I have ever seen. My kids say all they do is walk around the playground, every day while the teachers play on their phone. My older one in middle school athletics is pretty much in a PE class. My child doesn't get to play at all, coach is constantly screaming and yelling at the kids, playing on the phone, or horse playing with other coaches (personal observations). If a teacher is called out for faults your child will suffer repercussions (bully-style) from the teacher. My middle child has been passed 3 grades and reads 2 grades level below the current grade level. Bullies are not dealt with at all. Just look up the 01/16/14 fight at Lexington High School that almost claimed a student's life. I am so disgusted with this school!Parent Review7y ago
