Pleasant Hill Elementary School

Leander ISD is the worst - funny how they say they are a destination district. The district definitely changed after Troxell left, learning went from fun and educational to liberal lefist emotional indoctrination. No spelling is taught after 2nd grade, grades that were to start in 3rd grade went away, and the dress code is non-existent. What a horrible experience, our nation has doomed our next generation by plaguing this epidemic with no sytle of teaching the basics anymore.

This is my son’s second year at Blockhouse Elementary, he loves it and so do I. He never went to daycare or school before this so he was new to the whole dynamic of school. Both years in a row the staff and teachers have been nice and patient. It took my son a couple weeks or so both years to get in the groove of things. I honestly owe it to the teachers for being so patient and understanding that it may take some kids a little time to adapt. I am so proud to call Blockhouse Elementary our school! Our neighborhood has a great community of parents that keep in touch and keep each other in the loop. I feel like overall we scored when we moved in this neighborhood 4 years ago.

Wonderful staff! They welcome parents to attend their kids during lunch time any day. They also have a very unique policy that if a child is in preK then the parent is allowed to walk that child right to the classroom the whole year every single day. No other school allows it. This was a major criteria for us. They dont stress much about late time also which is nice. Kids are very happy their and love their teachers.

Drop off is the worst here. Ive been skipped over at least times dropping my son off where they open the door for you. Teacher so far is okay better than the last school. Everything else sucks. The front desk lady is rude, drop off women are rude and no one knows how to drive.

Good luck if you get bullied, sexually harassed, or physically assaulted by other students or teachers at this school. Nobody will believe you or do anything except say that they're "investigating the situation" and then say they're "so sorry for your perception of what happened". And because you raised an issue and wanted help for a problem? You're their new favorite problem to pick at, because how dare you try to make them help you? That's not their job. At least, not here.Oh, and now? If you so much as raise your voice, they threaten to send you to LEO where there's a cop instead of handling the situation like a professional educator. You'll be a target. Are some of the teachers/counselors nice? Sure. But the best part of it all? If you are behind and failing miserably at any subject, they'll gladly let you slip through the cracks and keep on passing you without so much as letting your parent know until it's WAY too late. Nobody at this school cares about you or your education. And it's just getting worse.
