9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are sensitive and truly care. It helps that they are electronically connected to the parents. My child's teacher is not there for a paycheck. She gives us work for the next school level to challenge our child.Parent Review9y ago - Matias De Llano Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m really counting the days for my kid to finish the last year of elementary so my child can try another school and feel better of herself. I just hope her depression diminishes as soon as she gets out of Matias de llano and attends another school. I just hope no other school makes my child feel the way this school injured her in believing in herself and societyParent Review5y ago - Kazen Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been attending Kazen for the past two years. She was previously in a LISD school and a different UISD school. Since being at Kazen she has learned sooooo much at and I see the difference in her attitude. She is more confident, more social, and she comes home excited to share the new things she learned. I also have her in the after school daycare and she loves it. She actually gets upset when I pick her up early. If there is ever any issues at school her teacher will call me within a day or two to keep me in the loop. They are a bit strict with rules and attendance, but I guess they are just trying to instill responsibility and good work ethics at an early age. I don't know if she was just lucky enough to have gotten great first and second grade teachers, but I am extremely happy with the decision we made two years ago. I wouldn't want her attending any other school in Laredo after our wonderful experience at Kazen Elementary.Parent Review10y ago - Trautmann Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was at Trautmann from kindergarten to fifth grade, and it is a fabulous school. The teachers are caring, the parents are involved, and a sense of community is truly fostered by teachers, administration and staff. Having said that- the parking lot IS a zoo after school. It's the only time you hear people honk in Laredo!Parent Review10y ago - Col Santos Benavides Elementary School
