Clark Elementary School

Outstanding school!! It all starts with the principal and staff, Mrs. Guzman is a very dedicated principal and has the children's best interest at heart. When it comes to testing, they prepare the children and parents ahead of time. Two of my children have and currently are attending this school, and both have enjoyed being a part of this school. My daughter has excelled in this school, she won 1st place in Math Bee 2014 for all 3rd grade classes in U.I.S.D. I am very proud of her and all her teachers that have contributed to her success!

The teachers are sensitive and truly care. It helps that they are electronically connected to the parents. My child's teacher is not there for a paycheck. She gives us work for the next school level to challenge our child.

The Teachers and the staff are great. I am a very involved parent that come from a different city. I don't know if all schools in Laredo are like this but administration lacks professionalism. Since day one they put my child in Kinder instead of First Grade. Administration will just not cooperate with parents and they can be really rude. Luckily next year we are moving , so that he can attend a different school in the same city.

My son is in this school and the priciple/teachers are rude mean and dont put the effort to help my son. They give my son write ups and dont like him since the day i found out his teacher had thrown his box of crayons to the trash for coloring as a punishment since that day till now they put him in a desk facing the wall alone didnt let him play with the other classmates the other things that has happen is worse not even changing teachers work, the reason they changed my son from teachers was because i went to his school and they were having a private meeting without me knowing anything i was suppost to been there and called since my son is under age, i had to tell the principle the teacher and councilor that i was fed up with all this and i was going to speak with the lisd district my son loved school waking up in the mornings but not anymore now he cries and dont want to go at all. His been in school since he was 3 yrs old when my husband was in the Marines. Now i dont know what to do since his new teacher is being the same as the other, my son really needs titorials but his teacher said he dont need it since his not going to pass to 2nd.

They should keep more safety on our children especially when releasing students after school to be required an i.d and the staff lady’s should be more informed about their policy!

This is a really great school with amazing teachers and leadership. We transferred here from Pirtle Elementary due to changes in the district boundaries. Parents are welcome at this school and are truely treated as partners. There has been an obvious effort by the teachers to get to know the kids and connect with them. The principle seems genuine in her actions, fair and honest. We are so grateful for this positive change.
