Maxdale is a wonderful school with great teachers! My oldest son has attended since he was in Pre-K and is now in 1st grade. Every year has been a positive experience and he continues to learn and grow.

Posted by a parent on 5/29/2014Do yourself a favor and NEVER enroll your child in this program if you care about his academics or well being. My son has attended Maxdale Elementary since he was in Pre-K. He was in the TAG program and in the 2nd grade he was diagnosed with ADHD. The unprofessionalism of the staff tops the charts.
Posted by a parent on 8/12/2013My daughter attended Maxdale for special needs pre-school while we were stationed at Fort Hood. We had Ms. Baugh and she was TERRIFIC! I did experience a little attitude from the office staff but I really think that your whole experience depends on what teacher you get.

I do not live in Killeen, Texas but do visit often and have went to Maxdale Elementary School to pick up my grandchild to take to a do

Unfortunately a majority of the staff are rude, unsupportive, talk to the kids ugly and have an obvious I do not care or want to be her attitude. There are quite a few fights and the security measures in place are little to none. You can ask a simple questions and they give an attitude. I believe the schools office staff is a School’s first impression, and we’ve experienced the same thing 3 years now. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI thought this was one of the better elementary schools here in Killeen other than Brookhaven. Some of the teachers are a joke. This year has been HORRIBLE for my 2nd grader. The drop off line in the morning is just RIDICULOUS. This school will lie and continue pushing that lie without your knowledge and turn their issues on you! The assistant principal is NOT to be trusted. She is two faced! Don’t trust her with anything.
