Childrens Tree House Learning Center

Cedar Valley is one of the best elementary schools in the KISD district. I've had 3 children go to the school (currently only my youngest child is enrolled in 2nd grade) and they all loved their teachers (with the exception of my youngest child's 1st grade teacher...that was a tough year where he didn't want to go to school, but he loves his current teacher and the ones before). I would recommend this school to another parent. It's Killeen, but I feel the staff at Cedar Valley really do care about the children and do their best to provide the academic and support needs necessary for each child. I've never had a problem with office staff either.

This school has been a struggle for my kids and I. Unfortunately a majority of the staff are rude, unsupportive, talk to the kids ugly and have an obvious I do not care or want to be her attitude. There are quite a few fights and the security measures in place are little to none. If I could do it again I would not have had my children attend this school.

This School Is HORRIBLE. My Pre-K student was labeled as bad the first DAY starting here, for simply adjusting to a new environment. Called every hour of the day to complain about normal child behavior. The teachers gang up on your kid and bully them. Make them discouraged and lack empathy. My child started kindergarten at a new school after being pulled out of this one early due to these issues and she’s doing AMAZING. The new teacher doesn’t understand how they could say the things they did about her. They tell me she’s a sweet girl which I already knew, but didn’t know what to expect with her starting pre-k. She became discouraged and wouldn’t color wouldn’t do any school work, safe to say this year SHE ALREADY doing her work and doing so much better. HORRIBLE school. If you care about your kids future do not send them here.

The teachers and staff are incredible. People they worked as one and try to make every child feel included. This has been one of the best schools I have ever been associated with.

Rezoned into this dump. The teachers refuse to work with students and the principal doesn't care. Trimmer was amazing, avoid this place at all costs.

When my child was here a few years back the teachers and teachers from other classes were building a packet against my child. The child wasn’t doing anything wrong at all, just being a normal child and on top of it all, turns out the school wasn’t academically challenging enough for my child. The principal and assistant principal were no help. The guidance counselor either and they had the audacity to say they don’t have enough military kids to have an MFLC on school grounds. That blew my mind when fort hood IS the heart of killeen. They wanted to send a 1st grader to alternative school (WTH!!!!) I don’t recommend if you’re a military family with children who are brighter than the teachers themselves.
