Read what parents are saying about Freedom Elementary SchoolThis was my daughters first year in kindergarten and it has been terrific! Her teacher Mrs. Jaquess is amazing with her and all the children. My daughter can be a strong willed child, but she loves going to school and has grown so much this year! The principal is at every school event and the kids all love to run over and give him a high five. My daughter thinks he is pretty awesome! All of her cocur teachers have worked hard to keep the kids in gaged, with a SOAR attitude. I am truly grateful for the staff and community of Freedom Elementary.
Posted by a parent on 5/25/2022The reporting through this website is grossly inaccurate. First, the student to teacher ratio is WAY OFF. The 21-22 school year is more like 22:1. The way this school treated children and parents during covid was cold and offensive. They're handling made kids hate school, which is so sad.My older child attended a different elementary (KISD) and it was radically different from every aspect. The main focus being the EDUCATION. The Principal is seemingly unconcerned too. This isn't a one-off, this is years of confirmation that Freedom lacks a staff that genuinely cares about education. They're more concerned with being political correct and "inclusion" that they neglect actually teaching children the basic fundamentals: reading / writing, for example.
Posted by a parent on 5/21/2022My daughter started at Freedom last school year 20-21. The school made it a great kindergarten year for her and all the other students even with all the restrictions in place because of covid! My daughter loved her teacher last and so did I! The teacher went above and beyond for her students and was On top of communication each day along with the principal I never felt out of the loop. My daughter enjoyed the teachers in her Co-Curr classes. My daughter also does speech at the school and loved her speech pathologist. I can’t wait to see what this new school year has to offer it’s already starting out to help great.
Posted by a parent on 9/20/2021Awful. I’m not sure if the administration is over working the teachers or the teachers are lazy or both. There is no real action against bullying and not very much follow through on 504 plans. My child’s self esteem has plummeted since going to this school . The worst school we have ever been too. I have talked to other parents with similar issues and concerns who have also voiced but still nothing really seems to get done here. Do not recommend this school.
Posted by a parent on 5/5/2019HORRID! Surprised a school like this hasn’t had More complaints. Front office Administration needs to have a make over, especially the principal. It’s sad that for such a great ISD, this is the worst school in the district.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnable or unwilling to accommodate children with disabilities. Refusal to follow 504 plans, argumentative teachers. Refuse to communicate. Withhold information and grades. Very poor performing and very low expectations of student body. High focus on limited English proficiency and dyslexia, while everything else is essentially ignored, glossed over. We were lied to for years about our child’s placement and told she didn’t qualify for an IEP, which was not only untrue, it was not legal. Principal is Teflon - refuses all accountability for theirs or others’ actions. Blames and finger-points to shift the focus of self. Our community deserves so much better. Our kids deserve so much better. It is shocking how long these behaviors have been allowed to continue, even when Dr. Westfall, HR, and legal counsel are aware.Parent Review1y ago - St Elizabeth Ann Seton School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had always wanted our kids to attend private Christian school and were so excited when we could finally send them. We expected a warm, welcoming environment where our kids would be encouraged in their faith as well as challenged academically. Needless to say, we were in for a rude awakening. Unless your children started with the school from day one, expect for them to have a hard time fitting in. Cliques are worse here because it is such a small school. That includes the parents. If you are a working parent, don't bother signing up for the Parent Team because all meetings are during the day. If your child has any kind of learning disability, this is not the place for you. Accommodations are not offered. We discovered that academically, our kids were doing very remedial work that was a year or more beneath their grade level. Not all teachers are certified and some have no experience in their subject matter at all. One example of many, our kids were going through the One Year Bible and journaling for math grades in Pre-Algebra. As far as being challenged in their faith, my children - who have been raised in church their whole lives - walked away from the experience not wanting anything to do with people who call themselves "Christians" because certain administrators, teachers, and students were so mean and judgmental. It was an extremely disappointing experience and not at all what we expected.Parent Review1y ago - Stepping Stones Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur children have attended MLCA Keller and the Messiah Lutheran preschool for over the past six years, we love the small class sizes and all the teachers and staff. The classical education, presented with a Christian worldview, has given them a strong Christian grounding to prepare them for the world. The school environment is safe and very cheerful, our children have played, Soccer, Archery, Volleyball, and Basketball. If you're serious about educating your children in a solid Christian education, there is no better choice available.Parent Review7mo ago - North Texas Leadership Academy
