W.A. Porter is the best we could hope for. It is such a strong knit community. The teachers and staff are very involved, welcoming, inclusive and treat parents and students with respect. It’s clear they CARE about their students.

Every staff member, including teachers, custodians, and office personnel truly care about the students. The school feels like an extension of our family, and I am truly excited to send my 2nd child
Posted by a parent on 7/28/2024Both of my children went to Porter from kindergarten all the way through 5th grade and loved every minute of it. One is a boy and the other is a girl and they were both very prepared for middle school!
Posted by a parent on 7/17/2024This school is a community- the Teachers and Admin go above and beyond to make the school inviting and safe. We have had kids been at Porter for 8 years, and we have 5 more- there is no place I’d rather my kids be.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children who have been at shady Brook since basically the start of their education (and a third who will attend in a few short years) and I can say that shady Brook is an amazing school, the teachers and faculty go above and beyond and I know my students are genuinely loved and cared for! My oldest is leaving for junior high next year but I am so glad I continue to get to be a Shetland with my youngest kids for a few more years. Your child WILL be mistreated, your child WILL be let down by the people you, and they trust. My children have told me stories of their time there , and it’s taken me NOW to make the review.
