Read what parents are saying about Ridgecrest Elementary SchoolThis school is one of the worse schools in spring branch. I have had 2 of my kids go to this school. My oldest had troubles with most of the staff and now my other daughter is coming home everyday crying that the teachers are mean to her. Now today I am getting calls from the principle threatening to call cps because my daughter was standing outside my house. I live literally across the street. The staff is horrible. The kids are horrible. My kids get picked on but when I call the school they tell me There is nothing they can do. They need to restaff the entire school.
Posted by a community member on 4/6/2016I can't believe the principal don't see how their staff works with parents and students, my sister has my niece in that school, she doesn't belong to that district but because she heard a lot "great things" about the school. Now that is end of year, they are asking her to get a transfer when they only give transfers in January. But the staff asked her for monthly proof of her residency and that lady is so rude!!! I went with my sister and she was giving her the ugliest attitude. Today my niece had her ceremony and I went with my kids, of course they were out of school already, but the ladies in the office told me I couldn't go in the ceremony because they were minors and because they were supposed to be in school. The funny part is that I seen parents going in before me and they had children. My questions is are they going to take things personal or are they going to do their job. TERRIBLE STAFF!! I hope I can convince my sister to change my niece from this school.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was god awful and I hated it with such a fury and passion. I have read all of the reviews about this school, and all the positive reviews in 2014 conveniently mention how good the classes were. I was there for nearly my whole life, and I wouldn't say I liked it. I felt like I was being targeted, bullied as active, and ignored, teachers seemed to care very little about their students, and classes were out of control. Regis seems all nice on the surface, showing videos of community service and kids having fun outside, but rarely shows the average classroom. Why? because the students are not in control. And not all teachers were bad, some of them tried but weren't able to fully apply themselves. The school cares most about money, and overcharging on tuition, and they'll accept your child as long as you make over the national average in your line of work. They'd constantly have the "fun art projects" just to auction them off later to parents at a ridiculously high price. They even auctioned off a dog for an amount I'm not aware of. How did the school own a dog, I have no idea how they got it too. The students were either overqualified or underqualified. Some students could've gone to better schools and had a much better career, while some genuinely need special education. Some teachers seemed like they didn't want to teach, they offered this "correct" option if you got a poor grade on an incredibly corrupt test. If you a 50, you can get 75, and if you get a 0, you can get a 50. This is unfair to students who tried at the start and got 80 or 88 and can barely raise their grades. For an all-boys school it seems like they are compromising for and not building the hold system around one gender, and the student handbook was more a weapon for teachers and higher-ups to target a student than a set of guidelines. The technology classes are properly managed, which is especially disappointing for such an up-and-coming market. The school is blindly loyal to Apple, which doesn't create great products for the price, and are known to sell your data.Other Review1mo ago
