Joan Link Elementary School

I would not recommend Heritage Elementary based on my family's experience. There are significant concerns with student supervision, and communication between teachers appears to be lacking. Only a select group of students seem to thrive here, while others are left without the support they need. The surrounding environment also seems to influence the student body in ways that may expose children to behaviors and experiences they aren't accustomed to at home. Unfortunately, my child was negatively affected, and we are now seeking therapy to help him process what he experienced during his time at this school. The school's low rating 1 out of 10 reflects issues that go beyond academics. I’ve made the difficult decision to unenroll my child and urge other parents to carefully consider their options before choosing this school. It has not been a safe or supportive environment for our family.

The current principal and the majority of the staff members should undergo communication and health classes to understand how to appropriately communicate with children under any situations. Counselor Villalobos is incredibly biased against students and will never resolve any matter since she has a justification for everything. When it comes to problem solving, Principal Leal does not communicate with any of the parents. I'm not sure how she was named principal of the year since she's created so many problems since becoming principal.

I don't recommend the school because because the principal don't care about students. There's a lot of A lot of bullying, a lack of respect. The teachers don't care a lot of fights for somebody who haven't fight somebody. And they did not care if you get hurt. They don't care.Miserable Make the student suffer. I will not recommend the school if you care about your child.

My son got bullied on his first day of school He also got into an altercation. No one called me about this incident. My daughter tried to call me but the principal put her out the office. We just moved here from Maryland and I really don’t like that kind of behavior from the staff at that school.
