Read what parents are saying about Davis High SchoolThe thing about this school is that they separated the kids who are smart and dose who aren’t like me right know they just noticed I am above the average kid and they know decided to put me in other clases I don’t know but I feel like everyone should have the same education.
Posted by a student on 4/17/2023Davis is not a bad school. Majority of the teachers are good and actually teach you important things related to the subject they teach. The staff needs some improvement I will say because some of the people in the offices are a little unprofessional but, that can be fixed. Our stats would improve drastically if the students here actually focused in class and did their work. Instead, of worrying about what homework is due, they're too busy worried about whose dating who and whens the next fight. In order for things to improve, the students have to actually try in class...but, the school itself, in my opinion is great.

I appalled that you noted:"even if her name was called she wouldn’t have been able to get to the stage with the other students"Here's an idea: go down the stairs and let her receive her diploma.I can't believe you are responsible for educating children.Other Review8y ago - Deloras E Thompson Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible this would be my kid's first year here. My kids came home saying kids were cursing, fighting, and screaming. The teachers are threatening, screaming, and bullying kids. I am not going to say all teachers but this one in particular needs to be removed immediately. This teacher does not need to be in the class she's petty, unconcerned, and does not follow accommodations. The school has a low reaction to parents' concerns and you will get the run around if there is a concern about teachers interacting with the students. This teacher will tell kids things like go tell your parents I don't care I'll quit! I would rather she would because she's the reason why kids hate school. Don't work with elementary children if you dislike them because this would be the time you as an educator will have the most impact on your students. Do not go here, please! I am telling you if your kids came from a great school district this will not be it!Parent Review6mo ago - Milton Cooper Elementary School

The teachers really care, they really are attentive to your children's needs. May daughter was on Honor Roll and in GT( gifted) classes, she didnt want to leave for 6th grade. I never had a problem with teachers or the principles. The office staff is also very nice and helpful, especially Ms. Matthews-the front office secretary. Cooper is doing an amazing job with their students! Go Cowboys!Parent Review5y ago - Light Christian Academy

He has been in daycare since 11 months but as soon as he got here his vocabulary is off the roof! I love the staff they are so inviting I wish I would have known about this school for my oldest son. He is singing songs his ABC and 123's. He was always on the shy quiet side and would not talk but now he is branching out! I am so grateful for this affordable private school setting!Parent Review8y ago - Dar Ul Arqam School North

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't recommend the school because because the principal don't care about students. There's a lot of A lot of bullying, a lack of respect. The teachers don't care a lot of fights for somebody who haven't fight somebody. And they did not care if you get hurt. They don't care.Miserable Make the student suffer. I will not recommend the school if you care about your child.Student Review4mo ago - Hoyland Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son got bullied on his first day of school He also got into an altercation. No one called me about this incident. My daughter tried to call me but the principal put her out the office. We just moved here from Maryland and I really don’t like that kind of behavior from the staff at that school.Parent Review1y ago
