Read what parents are saying about Cypress Falls High SchoolHonestly, this school is pretty ok. The teachers are good, the lessons are ok, and the environment is pretty average. The one complaint is the school food. I got really sick with salmonella, and the only reason that could be true is the horrid school food. My house is strictly vegan household, so I indulge in meat and dairy products at school. Thanks for ruining my safe haven. I got super sick, and I'm surprised I'm not more mad than I already am. Honestly, how would you feel not trusting the only source of something you enjoy in your life? It feels horrible.
Posted by a student on 11/29/2023The athletics and fine arts programs are so great. The academics are also very good. The principal is so hands-on. I really don't understand some of the people that give bad reviews lol.
Posted by a community member on 8/13/2022Positive experience! It takes a village to raise a child. The teachers are highly dedicated and care about the success of the kids. They spend more time with our kids than we do especially if the kids are involved in extracurricular activities. At the end of the day, parents also have to be involved and let your children know what behavior will or will not acceptable.
Posted by a parent on 9/14/2017Cypress Falls administrators do little to nothing to aid their students. They also cannot keep up with their students and never call or email back during critical times. The director of instruction specifically is horrible, she doesn't try at all to assist the students and would rather blame her decisions on "policy" rather than her own lack of trying and twisted ethic, and unfortunately she is the one you have to go to for most of your problems. I would highly suggest a different school in the district.
Posted by a student on 5/20/2016CyFalls is not a school that I would recommend. I would encourage any parent to consider other schools in the district if possible. I have two students at CyFalls and have seen the politics first hand. One reviewer mentioned that the school administrators focus on keeping up appearance. This is very true and I doubt that it will change any time soon. Sports: If you have an athlete, politics is very heavy. If you are not willing to play the game then CyFalls will not be beneficial for your student in athletics.

The elementary schools in this district are not capable of helping autistic kids. Notice all the new reports? Ask around, the moms will tell you.Parent Review1y ago - Lamkin Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you're the type of person who lends any credence to the questionable ratings given by GreatSchools, don't let Owens' score fool you. This is an outstanding school where children flourish and parental communication is open and encouraged.Parent Review1y ago - Emmott Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe 2022-2023 school year at Emmott Elementary for my kids has been very disappointing. I have a child in 1st grade and one in 3rd grade. Some of their teachers this year have pushed my kids to dislike school which has made it difficult for me to engage and help them. First, there has been such lack of communication from some of their teachers; the assistant principles only reach out after I had to send emails of issues about the teachers (unresolved) My daughter has a new teacher she doesn't engage well, I only spoke with her during field day, she advertently let me know she gave my daughter a passing grade for reading but then said it was a mistake and that she would call me to discuss, never happened and yes my daughter is stilll passing. My son's 7th week of school and his 1st grade teacher tells me he needs special education help. I say do your own research about (HB3)funding and teacher incentives I will leave that there! Secondly, I was on a conference with 2 teachers whom I never spoke to ever that's been helping my daughter with reading. I was accused by one of the teachers of not having the correct contact # on file and I quickly sent them a screenshot email proving my number has been updated since the beginning of the year because I get voicemails of upcoming hiring events, attendance etc.. I realized that specific teachers (not all the teachers) are not being held accountable for their mistakes from management there's lack of ownership as a whole, lack of belonging, engagement and inclusion for my kids this year. Again, I am only speaking from my experience not all teachers at Emmott lack. My daughter has been fortunate to have 1 really good teacher this year thank god. Lastly, I thought after-school tutoring would help but the school doesn't have specific resources to tutor in smaller groups, I quickly realized after-school tutoring wasn't helping my son after I found out he ended up with different teachers and was not getting help on what he needed. This review is only depicted on my experience from a couple of their teachers and not doesn't reflect on other kids or teachers at Emmott. Parents are here to help, and it's hard to do when there is lack of communication and engagement from teachers. From other Emmott reviews I see on google, Emmott is 50% below average, I don't have actual data just doing my research like any parent would. I would add a lot more but Im limited on characters for this review.Parent Review1y ago - Fiest Elementary School
