Read what parents are saying about Andy Dekaney High SchoolSo far all of our experiences and interactions with this school have been great From the teachers to administration. the new principal has worked hard to turn things around.
Posted by a parent on 3/24/2023I'm a student at Dekaney High School its not a great School. The students there are terrible not all of them but most of them. Most of the teachers don't even care about the students. Some of the teachers had quit because of the students or covid-19. It's so terrible because some of the students don't even bother to put their mask on even if it required. The bottom line is that I wouldn't recommend this school to any student.
Posted by a student on 1/28/2022Terrible experience, The curriculum not challenging enough, no beneficial educational resource, unprofessional staff, unqualified teachers, unorganized school, and chaotic school the students have more control then the administration.
Posted by a student on 10/19/2019I had an amazing experience at this school. The students were friendly and teachers worked really hard to ensure the students' success.
Posted by a community member on 4/16/2018Dekaney High School is sad. There is simply no excuse for the activities going on at the campus. Administration does not care because they know they will not be investigated. They will not be investigated because Dekaney is a low-income school in a low-income neighborhood. Spring ISD will not be satisfied until a traumatic incident occurs at Dekaney or the school is shut down.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo I find the rating interesting for this school and I have to say I completely disagree. This is the best school my girls have gone to and the support provided to them I didn't see at their previous school. The teachers are amazing and the administration is very involved. They genuinely care about the students and it shows with how happy my kids are attending there. So if you are researching for buying a house in this area I would say go for it.Parent Review1y ago - Bammel Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children constantly come home without having any recess, aren't allowed to talk at lunch or play and only get to use the bathroom twice a day. They come home exhausted and riled up if possible and these rules make it impossible for them to concentrate at all. Students here don't stand a chance. This school is very out of touch with what students need and with new learning techniques.Parent Review4y ago - Meyer Elementary School

They teach my son manners and he is able to gain his social skills. I really appreciate the impact. The school has had on my sons upbringing.Parent Review4mo ago - Abiding Word Lutheran School
