Posted by a parent on 4/17/2020We have never had a problem with other students or teachers or administrators. We have been really happy with this school.
Posted by a parent on 3/27/2020For the fact that my 4 year old daughter can't attend pk4 because she's not bilingual is a huge red flag and a disappointment for the obviousness that this is American where English is a native language. She'll have to go to Greene elementary until next year then Landolt for kindergarten. This is absurd information.
Posted by a parent on 8/2/2017So far, this is the worst school that my daughter has ever attended. If you have a child with even mild learning disability, please think twice. My autistic 5th grade daughter has undergone so much stress at that school due to teacher's incompetence, lack of training, and management ignorance. They used to tell me that she is happy at school, but she was getting off the bus crying and I believe she was subjected to teasing and bulling. Stay away from that school.
Posted by a community member on 3/7/2017This is our first year at Landolt and I'll have to say I'm not very pleased so far. My sons teacher is really sweet and few of the staff, but some of the procedures at this school are ridiculous. The pick up procedures in particular. Unless you have close to 2 hours to waste picking up your child, put them on the bus. The crossing guards are not well trained and they're very rude. I'm really hoping this year gets better for us!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended Greene from Kinder-2nd grade & from the 1st day of Kinder she was punched in the face by a little boy, which set the tone to how her experience was going to be at Greene. BEWARE if you are a single Mom w/NO support system or Husband to back you up when it comes to bullying. My daughter faced INTENSE bullying all the way through her 2nd grade yr from children that were HUGE & left marks on her. Everything was documented, pictures, etc.. I could NOT get help from her teachers OR Mrs. Gaffey the Principal. I had NUMEROUS conferences w/teachers & the Principal but MY child always got in trouble for finally defending herself & NEVER the bullies for beating on her. Mrs. Gaffey @ one point in the middle of a conference w/me & a teacher present, got up & told me my daughter wasn't being bullied & told me to leave & the conference was over & walked out! Also my daughter struggled academically in Math for several years while the teachers NEVER reached out to tell me. My child was just sitting in class crying & looking so confused EVERY day. I finally requested to have her tested & she did have dyslexia BUT they said they wouldn't help her in math b/c she tested high in "socialization." What? The ONLY good part about Greene was the help we received for the short amount of time for her dyslexia. After dealing with the staff @ Greene for 3 years & having such a Horrible experience, I decided to pull my daughter out & Homeschool her. As a single Mom this was an extremely difficult decision but I knew I couldn't let her suffer through another year at Greene or any public school. Once I started homeschooling her, I was able to see how far behind she was in Math & it was astonishing to say the least. Shameful those teachers just let her sit there like that. But now she is THRIVING in Math & all subjects and Homeschooling was the BEST decision I could have EVER made.Good luck if your kids are at Greene... They do show favoritism if you're married & wealthy though! So your kids will get along just fine.. And forget it if you are a devout Christian, because you'll be TARGETED (and your child) for your strong beliefs. They hate GOD and anyone who TRULY belongs to Him. And Yes, I just said that. Horrible school. Horrible staff."Vengeance is mine saith the Lord.."Parent Review8mo ago - G. H. Whitcomb Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was in special education from kinder and 1st there in general classroom setting. Putting him in this school was such a horrible experience. I couldn't move him to a school out of zone unless the other school approved and since my son is not average, of course no other school wanted to take him. We were stuck here until I finally had to move homes to get him in a different zone. The people in charge here might act nice to your face but anytime I brought up a problem the principal and assistant principal would get rude and get an attitude. They were not following recommendations of my son's IEP which is sad. They complain about the problems but then don't want to follow the recommendations from his evaluation of things he needed to help him succeed in school. They would lock him up in a room in the office sometimes for hours. All the parents were invited for Thanksgiving lunch, when I got there my son was not with his class, it took me a while to find out he was sitting in a separate desk by himself facing the wall during Thanksgiving lunch and the reason for him being there was ridiculous. They would make him eat lunch in the room in the office by himself, this is a kindergartener. He hated going to school he would cry, it was horrible. He was severely behind and all of his academics. They refuse to think it was a good idea to make a behavior intervention plan even though his behavior was putting them in the office all day and he would not be able to learn like that. Again dealing with the principles was a horrible experience and I am so glad that we are finally in a new school that is actually trying to help him and is catching him up now. If you have an average child this might be an okay school, if your child has any kind of special needs I do not recommend for you to go to the school. Just look at the info it says here on this page and it will show you.Parent Review6y ago - Wedgewood Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at Galloway for 6 years now & would never think of going anywhere else. The teachers truly care for the students, the community is tightly bonded, & the academics are far superior to any other school around. The Head of School brings an energy like I’ve never seen. My children are years ahead of their peers academically. I attribute this to the smaller class size & the curriculum going beyond traditional learning. At The Galloway School, learning is not confined to the four walls of a classroom. The curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Whether it's through engaging discussions, hands-on experiments, or collaborative projects, students are encouraged to think outside the box and develop a love for lifelong learning. One of the most transformative aspects of The Galloway School is its tight-knit community. The strong bonds formed among students, teachers, and parents create a supportive and nurturing environment. Collaboration and teamwork are celebrated, fostering a sense of camaraderie and a genuine love for learning. If you are seeking a school that will empower your children to reach new heights and embrace their individuality, I wholeheartedly recommend The Galloway School.Parent Review7mo ago - Friendwoods Christian School
