Posted by a parent on 11/25/2019I haven't seen teachers so willing to do whatever it takes for their students to receive a love for learning, reading & respect for one another as I have in this school. As a retired Navy Family we have seen a lot of different schools & this has been the best elementary school our kids have gone to.
Posted by a parent on 7/5/2017Excellent school and teachers. My son cried when we moved and Ms Stegall is still one of our all-time favorite teachers. She epitomizes great teaching. School administration identified my son had dysgraphia when I had never heard of it. That diagnosis has helped us understand what he's facing and get him OT to fix it. This school is truly outstanding.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was my daughters first year in kindergarten and it has been terrific! Her teacher Mrs. Jaquess is amazing with her and all the children. My daughter can be a strong willed child, but she loves going to school and has grown so much this year! The principal is at every school event and the kids all love to run over and give him a high five. My daughter thinks he is pretty awesome! All of her cocur teachers have worked hard to keep the kids in gaged, with a SOAR attitude. I am truly grateful for the staff and community of Freedom Elementary.Parent Review1y ago - Friendship Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnable or unwilling to accommodate children with disabilities. Refusal to follow 504 plans, argumentative teachers. Refuse to communicate. Withhold information and grades. Very poor performing and very low expectations of student body. High focus on limited English proficiency and dyslexia, while everything else is essentially ignored, glossed over. We were lied to for years about our child’s placement and told she didn’t qualify for an IEP, which was not only untrue, it was not legal. Principal is Teflon - refuses all accountability for theirs or others’ actions. Blames and finger-points to shift the focus of self. Our community deserves so much better. Our kids deserve so much better. It is shocking how long these behaviors have been allowed to continue, even when Dr. Westfall, HR, and legal counsel are aware.Parent Review1y ago - North Texas Leadership Academy

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy overall experience at this school has been incredibly positive. It's a wonderfully diverse environment, and my kids have been attending since its inception. The teachers here are fantastic; they genuinely care and are always available to support your child. I feel very comfortable having my kids here because the teachers are not only highly experienced but also well-versed in diverse cultures. There's a strong sense of inclusivity, minimizing the chances of any discriminatory behavior towards students. Moreover, academically, I've witnessed remarkable growth within the school. The students consistently enhance their test scores, and their reading abilities continue to improve a testament to the dedicated efforts of the hardworking teachers.Parent Review3mo ago - North Texas Leadership Academy
