Read what parents are saying about Pebble Hills High SchoolMy tenure at Pebble Hills High School, beginning in my sophomore year and continuing through my senior year, has been marked by repeated instances of discrimination, particularly against African American students. This environment of hostility has been perpetuated not only by the student body but also by the administration, manifesting in forms such as bullying and overt disrespect. This school, in my experience, is not conducive to those who may be grappling with mental health issues. It seems to provoke until a breaking point is reached, only to then label the provoked party as the aggressor. I have personally experienced an incident where a male teacher, who is white, confronted me aggressively, to the point where another teacher had to intervene(I HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE) .Despite being a female student, my complaint about this incident was not taken seriously until escalated to the school board and law enforcement. However, the offending teacher remains employed at the school. The staff, in my observation, tends to side with each other, even when it's clear that they should not. They appear to oppose the student unless the school district becomes involved, a step that should not be necessary. In conclusion, I find Pebble Hills High School to be an institution that is failing in its duty to provide a safe and nurturing environment for its students. I would not recommend it to anyone, and I rate my experience there as zero out of five stars.

Posted by a parent on 9/15/2022Great opportunities for college. School is well established with amazing teachers . Kids are well mannered /behaved ,I’m sure there’s some bad apples but I haven’t meet any so far. Rules are definitely implied . Well organized . My son has moved to 3 different high schools in the El Paso district and this has been the best district and school . Bullying has not been an issue.
Posted by a parent on 8/11/2021I couldn't be happier with Pebble Hills. Both of my children are at different levels of achievement and they both get what they need from this school. I love the administration and what the school has to offer. The school district has been rated as the top 12% in the nation, and this is the best school in the district.
Posted by a parent on 11/10/2019The school is new and all the faculty are pouring into the children. Great school spirit! We love being a part of the Spartan family.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNeeded to leave a review. We REALLY love the Principal, Teachers, and staff. The team at this school has done an absolute amazing job. Our kiddos have progressed amazingly and love this elementary school. Lots of school activities we felt very much apart of the school community with all the events. I would encourage anyone to attend the school.Parent Review9mo ago - Lujan-Chavez Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy granddaughter attends this school and loves it. The teachers seem genuinely caring towards the students and the special days/activities the school has keeps things interesting. The homework load for our 3rd grader doesn't seem overwhelming like some have mentioned. I am happy to see that they actually have spelling words to learn and practice their cursive writing...our previous schools in Killeen did not. I'm not sure why they do not provide bus pickup/drop-off for kids living more than a mile away...I am sure this is a district issue though, not school controlled. The pick up lines for car riders is well organized yet still horrid but I'm not sure how it could be improved upon either.Parent Review8mo ago - Paso Del Norte School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was in Kindergarten here. His teacher constantly put him down, his self esteem was awful. By the end of the year he was filled with anxiety about what she would say to him if he did anything she didn’t like. He was bullied and I never once was told about it, I had to bring up all the incidents to get any clarity including another child “spanking him”. The teacher constantly communicated things to the kids, to tell parents (these are 6 year olds - honestly not the best choice). Lastly, my son had virtually no academic growth, even after we met with the teacher several times to understand his academic data, which she couldn’t provide us. On the very last day of school they wanted to force us to promote him to first grade by signing a form. We’re moving him to charter. I’ve worked for public schools in many places, this school is messy.Parent Review1y ago - Chester E. Jordan Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my opinion 2 or 3 yrs ago it was a wonderful school teachers staff and families were involved but once they brought in Deena white as a principal she forgot to let our children be children, she forgot to involve all families in every grade, she forgot to let our children be united and have fun while learning, I have a adresed this concern many times to the district and even to the principal her self never have I received from either parties a response neither have other parents and even teachers who have also raised their concerns but like a lot of districts they have swept it under the rug, she is and will continue to run this school with no fundamentals of unity, kids are treated in my opinion like little soldiers following her needs her wants she is to demanding and strick no compassion, the school staff and kids deserve a fun loving compassion motivational Principal with ethic and love for ALL children no matter race or ethnicity a principal who follows discipline with Love.Parent Review5mo ago - Helen Ball Elementary School
