9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could rate zero stars I would. Worst staff, lead by RUDE administration.Failed to provide answers in a timely manner regarding child’s needs or concerns or completely dismissed until our “upcoming meeting” weeks away.Allowed staff who had no business calling Childs medical providers calling to verify notes and allowed medical notes to be passed around like a Sundays paper then told by admin “just drop it because I know how you can get & you know how I can get”When staff would try helping my child or us as parents they would be reprimanded and told not to speak or reach out.As educators they are there to help students and in fact staff at this school has done the opposite. When teacher was asked why they didn’t speak up about child’s needs & class room observations teachers response was “what’s the point” as in i opted my child out of STAAR testing and the school year is over so why speak up.This school is an absolute joke.I hope staff gets the training they ALL need to assist parents/ guardians/ caretakers and most importantly the children going forward. Maybe even suggest an engagement training at the next TEPSA conference to start living up to that mission of “Together, we will continue striving for excellence and fostering a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.” Because the environment that’s at that school is far from that! Please start being #AllIN or move over so someone who truly cares can step in :)Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Chester E. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI completed my school counseling internship at this school, and I truly had the best experience. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported. The school counselor I worked with is absolutely amazing; knowledgeable, compassionate, and always willing to guide and mentor me throughout my training. The leadership team was incredibly supportive and consistently encouraged my growth as an intern, making me feel valued as part of the school community and their team. The teachers were also very supportive, always open to collaboration and providing learning opportunities that strengthened my experience and professional development. Every staff member I encountered was kind, patient, and welcoming, which created such a positive and nurturing environment. This school truly prioritizes teamwork, student well-being, and professional growth. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to have completed my internship here and would highly recommend this school to any future interns, professionals and students.Other Review2w ago22 Reviews - James P Butler Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRun far away! My daughter has been attending this school for almost 3 years now. She was getting bullied for the first 2 years and the school did absolutely NOTHING about it. I hate to mention this but.. My daughter is a child of color. The teachers are also very rude and do not take your concerns into consideration when it’s brought to their attention. They report irrelevant things like your child being in the restroom using soap to wash their hands instead of reporting things like other children physically harming them. I have to hear it from my daughter and ask the teacher afterwards and then they tell me. Nothing ever happens as far as disciplinary action goes it just keeps happening. You can’t bring it to the attention of the principal or the front office because they do not care nor do they take action. Also, I’ve had a very bad experience with a male cross guard yelling at my daughter. It’s simply not ok. The experience by far has been the worst. I’ve also experienced times where the cafeteria has refused to give my child lunch when she gets free lunches. I have to pack her lunches everyday to make sure she eats. I do recommend this school whatsoever. Especially if your child is of color.Parent Review7mo ago8 Reviews - Purple Heart Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my opinion 2 or 3 yrs ago it was a wonderful school teachers staff and families were involved but once they brought in Deena white as a principal she forgot to let our children be children, she forgot to involve all families in every grade, she forgot to let our children be united and have fun while learning, I have a adresed this concern many times to the district and even to the principal her self never have I received from either parties a response neither have other parents and even teachers who have also raised their concerns but like a lot of districts they have swept it under the rug, she is and will continue to run this school with no fundamentals of unity, kids are treated in my opinion like little soldiers following her needs her wants she is to demanding and strick no compassion, the school staff and kids deserve a fun loving compassion motivational Principal with ethic and love for ALL children no matter race or ethnicity a principal who follows discipline with Love.Parent Review2y ago2 Reviews - Montana Vista Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not enroll your child in this school. The administration is awful, trying to get a hold of anyone is impossible. My children continue to complain about the rude cafeteria staff, the substitute teachers keep yelling at my child to a point where she comes home crying because of the mistreatment.Parent Review3w ago6 Reviews
