Barbara Jordan Elementary School

This school was great until they decided to let a child back to the campus after bringing a gun to school and threatening them. I understand the child got cleared from his record as I was told by the principal but he still did mental damage to these students my son had to sit in fear with this child being back in his class it’s just ridiculous why would you do that type of damage to these kids how are they supposed to learn in peace it’s such a shame you can’t straighten out a crooked tree so be careful if you plan to enroll your child here I took mine son out I’m not risking his safety at all hope everything goes well with the kids and nothing bad happens

Teachers are caring and understanding. They really care about students education.

My kindergartener attends Henderson. We love the small class size (13 kids in his class!) and his teacher, Ms. A! He does qualify for special needs, so gets services at school. As I’m sure with any school, that does take some work to go through and you have to be willing to advocate for your child. I would like to see more engagement from school leadership, and parent opportunities (though I’m sure some of the reason that has been lacking is because of covid).

Horrible school some of the staff are very sweet and helpful but ither than that my experience with my children here have been nothing but negative. Especially the new principle they have had the last few years. Awful women . My kids didn't learn anything they are at a different school and have been thriving since the move . Such a difference in their performances and their characters all around d they love it.

This is a poorly conducted school, from the Administration all the way to the Teachers.They fail to properly help and assist the students. They are very big with retaliating against students!! They will literally nitpick and bring a child's self esteem down. They fail to properly communicate with students, they talk down to them, they fail to realizes that although these kids are small they are still human. If you ask me Administrators fails to help and guide students to want to become something greater in life, their lack for empathy for kids is horrible and heartbreaking. Administrators literally bully kids at this school!
