Read what parents are saying about Steam MiddleI attended this School last year and had some great memories! I never was bullied or harassed in anyways unlike some of the other schools in my district. I only regret not having an athletics program at my school so I wouldn't have to ride the bus between schools everyday. My teachers were hardworking and dedicated to teaching while also caring about our emotional states and wouldn't bombard us with too much information at once. They had a quick buy informative learning speeds that also provided tutoring after school for the ones who needed extra help. I had a great 3 years at this school and would definitely recommend that you send your kids there.

Posted by a parent on 9/28/2022This school has been great! Both of my children have attended, and while they've had very different experiences, they've both had very good experiences. Overall the teachers have all been very helpful and will take the time to help a student who may be struggling, but they also hold the kids accountable for their actions/efforts. They will match the effort that the kids put in.
Posted by a parent on 10/4/2018The school is beautiful and there are a handful of teachers that are great. Those few will work with you and are patient and fair with SPED kiddos. Everyone else there doesn't want to waste their time. They're inpatient and sarcastic. Bullying is worse than administration would lead you to believe. So, it's a pretty school, but if you struggle with deficits, this is not the place for you.
Posted by a parent on 8/9/2018STEAM is a good middle school, education-wise, and my child loves going there. With that being said, it is no better than our zoned campus, Hughes. I can say that because I have experience with both schools. If a child is already a great student they will do well at either school. But to get the authentic middle school experience (without the crazy schedules/lost time, transportation back and forth, lack of lockers, and get to grow up with friends who will attend our zoned high school), the zoned campus is better.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMY grand daughter was taken from the after school program where she was supposed to be by the school counselor and put on the bus.Even though she was crying and tried to tell her she wasn't supposed to ride the bus,she put her on it anyway. My grand daughter sat in a neighbors garage crying for 3 hours till her mom finally found her. This should not be allowed by the after school program, the school, the counselor .Someone should have contacted her mother if there was any doubt.Other Review4y ago - Deer Creek Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 1st grader has been struggling in class it came to the point we’re he would not even come in the building willingly anymore. I express my concerns with his Teacher, Principal, and Counselor, they ignored me and said he needed a diagnosis to get any extra help in class. They continued to be rude and disrespectful towards my son and even made him stay in the principals office all day isolated away from him peers. We finally received a diagnosis and have a 504 plan being utilized. Getting out of this school as soon as possible. Children with learning difference’s are not accepted here.Parent Review2y ago
