Read what parents are saying about Gentry J High SchoolIf you can choose a different school than this sorry excuse, go for it. The education here is horrible, the students don't like it, and my daughter even got verbally harassed by one of the teachers.Don't send your kids here.

Posted by a parent on 5/8/2017My daughter goes to gentry this will be her second year. I hope this year is better than last year because she had teachers that did not care at all I reached out all the one to the teachers but got no response so I went to the principal who was no help at all my daughter struggle the whole year. I knew it would cause her to fail and that's what happen. This year u will be at the school like I'm a student and if I have problems I'm taking it to the school board office. The ladies in the front office or rude they never smile and try to ignore you when you walk in office . This year I'm not playing with them u hope they are on their A game .
Posted by a parent on 8/21/2014This school is okay at best. The women in the front office are always rude and have bad attitudes. The principles pick favorites and the rules don't apply to them. My daughter has been going to that school since 7th grade and I can't wait for her to get out of it. They have decent teachers but the office staff is just HORRIBLE. In my opinion they should ALL be replaced.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very disappointed with SFA. There many missed opportunities for learning. For example, music class occurs once every three weeks and when the students are in music class, the instructor teaches by showing TV clips instead of having the children learn about music through hands on learning. Another example, my son is enrolled in the school's "Gate" program, which is the SFA s gifted and talented program. The "Gate" teachers reinforce their lessons by having the children complete worksheets. Worksheets are busy work and do not reinforce the lesson. GT students learn best when a lesson is reinforced by hands on projects. In short, the education at SFA is subpar - especially in regards to the Gate program.Parent Review10y ago - Crockett Elementary School

My son had Mr. Bailey and Miss Mac and he learned ABC's 123's and things that I struggle teaching him myselfParent Review6y ago - Victoria Walker Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVictoria Walker Elementry School has given my kindergardener so much to look forward to everyday. She is so excited to go to school and learn she comes home and calls me to tell me what happened each day. I enjoy this bonding my granddaughter and I share. The school always makes me feel welcome when I go to eat with my granddaughter. The school is very clean and the staff looks and acts very professional and caring. Thank You Victoria Walker , Deborah R. McHughOther Review10y ago - Clark Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageworst school teachers are unexperienced, if your kid has an issue you best believe they wont try to help you kid had very traumatic years there the always had the same story about his behavior had to medicate my kid. Now in new school has phenomenal grades out of meditation and loves school. If your are having any behavior issues with your kids this is your sign to remove your kids from that school.Parent Review1y ago
