Sanchez Elementary School

First two years were wonderful and great improvement on my son, he is above average. But good teachers left. This year in 4th grade he dropped the grades abruptly, first due to the teacher yelling at them all the time and not showing any interest on his improvement, also lack of communication with parents, second because a case of bullying harassment they neglected and caused severe health and mental issues to my kid. I had to go to superintendent to get a solution.

Soy mama de 3 hijos que asisten a esta escuela, debo decir que el apoyo que recibo de todo el personal desde la oficina, el director y subdirectora y los maestros es extraordinario y me quedo algo corta con mi descripción. MI hijo de 10 recibió apoyo especial de sus maestras por tener deficit de atencion e hiperactividad, han sido de gran ayuda sus maestras y la subdirectora, mi hija de 7 simplemente esta encantada con su clase de su maestro de 1er grado y mi hija de prek3 va feliz a la escuela y sale con una sonrisa enorme. No me alcanza la vida para agradecerles a cada uno de los que trabajan en Becker por su gran labor. Este ciclo me voy de Becker por que esta lejos de mi nueva casa pero los extrañaremos siempre.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Blackshear Elementary. My child has truly blossomed here both academically and socially. The curriculum is thoughtful, challenging, and engaging, with a strong emphasis on learning and growth at every level.What really sets Blackshear apart, though, is the community. Headwaters has been a life-changing experience for our daughter and our family. From the moment she came home after her first day, beaming and saying, “I found my people,” we knew this was the right place. Over three years, she blossomed—not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and creatively. The school’s culture of trust, open dialogue, and authentic learning helped her grow into herself with confidence and joy. She especially loved the vibrant classroom discussions, the freedom to explore downtown, and unforgettable experiences like the Bioneers trip and jazz band competition in Philadelphia. We’re deeply grateful to the dedicated teachers and staff, and especially to the head of the high school, who went above and beyond to support her Spanish studies while leading the school—and welcoming a new baby! Headwaters was worth every mile of our daily commute from Cedar Park. It’s a place where students are truly seen, supported, and inspired.

As a teacher at Cathedral School of Saint Mary, I am grateful to be part of a faith-filled Catholic school where students are truly known and supported. Our caring, nurturing teachers help students grow academically, socially, and spiritually in a God-loving, family-oriented community committed to living out our Catholic faith by serving God and our neighbors.

My stepson is 12, and he is highly functioning autistic. His teachers have not communicated with his family at all about learning to read. It is extremely disgraceful and heartbreaking. They have labeled him a special ed kid, and told us he is not capable of reading. They base this on faulty information, including saying he cannot recognize or write his own name. He does this frequently at home! Their communication with parents is awful! They sent home a letter in February 2026. It said the date was December 15. Their transportation dept is maddening to work with.
