We are new to the area and our oldest was zoned for this school and he has reported teachers cussing at him because he needs help and then when I try to send emails to admin it teachers they just go ignored. It is horrible
Posted by a parent on 9/18/2026I previously worked at Ray E. Braswell High School for two school years. One concern I had during my time there was emergency preparedness.I personally experienced only one scheduled fire drill and do not recall participating in any lockdown, Secure, or severe-weather drills. After leaving, I obtain
Posted by a teacher on 9/18/2026I’m not coming back to this school and to be honest, I’m happy about it. The principals play favorites and it definitely isn’t the good teachers. Two of my teachers left midyear, and most of the coaches are being told not to come back. Make your own conclusions. This place has gone way downhill fast
Posted by a student on 5/20/2026Excellent dual credit program through UNT and TWU, where students can take and get over a years worth of college credit. Specialized programs like welding to prepare students for the future. There are clubs for every interest. It’s a big school with a lot to do but if your child cannot make eye cont
Posted by a parent on 5/15/2026This school has always been tough, but it feels like it’s getting worse by the day. Classes are out of control, students don’t respect teachers, and you can feel the burnout everywhere. I’ve already seen several teachers quit, and a lot more are saying they’re not coming back next year, which should

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is so lackluster and the staff is unprofessional. I didn’t know what my child was working on the whole school year. It seemed like a daycare. I used to beg the teacher weekly for assignments and just an overview and she wouldn’t give me anything. She hated when I questioned her. My daughter was in kindergarten and her teacher won teacher of the year( which I don’t understand) because I never knew what was going on with my child. I called multiple parent teacher meetings. I reached out to the principal and assistant principal and my concerns fell on death ears. My child came home with a bloody face from falling on the playground and no one would say a word. I was never notified regarding any incident. I dislike this school so much. You hear about events so late and the week off. The principal has zero leadership issues and she doesn’t speak. Really the whole staff. I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with these people anymore because it was a horrible first year of school for my child.Parent Review4mo ago - Savannah Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is one of the worst elementary schools in the district. Teachers don't care and that's because students are unruly and very disrespectful. The former principal was fired and another struggling principal was moved here. On top of it, the school is closing. Now wonder why they moved her here. The district just seems to move problems around instead of fixing them.Parent Review6mo ago - Lakeview Elementary School
