Caprock High School

I have to say as a teacher there, I love it! I have worked there for 6 years now and I don't think there's another place I would rather be. My coworkers are awesome, I know we ALL care about our wonderful children and the parents are caring and want the best for their children. The administration is great and very supportive of us, parents and most of a the students.

Seems between the teaching of the non english speaking children and the english speaking children. There are not enough resorces to keep up.

I remember going to elementary school I loved it so much! The teachers were quite helpful, and some were strict but overall, they made us prepared for the future. The atmosphere was very comfortable too. We all had pretty good grades, and the teachers were ready to help if we were having trouble. I have to say, aside from wearing uniforms and having VERY strict rules, this is the greatest school I ever went to :)

When we started in this school 6 years ago, I thought this school was the best school. The kindergarten teacher was fabulous, and my daughter was excelling. 3 years later I enrolled my son, and in that time, the school has gone from fabulous to absolutely terrible!! If you have a concern about your child, and the bullying that is ongoing in this school, you get blown-off, and informed that if your child was better behaved, it wouldn't be an issue, and that it is NOT bullying! What happened to the zero tolerance policy AISD put into effect? The principals come into the students rooms this year, yelling at them over lower scores on practice TAKS. Substitutes run from this school during the day saying they won't ever sub there again. Teachers treat you like you are nothing because you aren't a teacher. And when the principal refuses to address the issues, forget about going to the cluster director!! He'll call the principal, and tell you it's up to the principal to decide what is what, and then your child will be treated like a pariah for the rest of the school year at least. I am doing everything I can to get my children out of this district all-together.

My son was in kindergarden here his teacher actually physically fought with him over his own jacket.. When we would take our concerns to the principal he wouldnt address them very well if at all with the teacher she was constantly fighting with my child over something. The problem was that she didnt seem to be adult enough to be teaching a bunch of children. I was very disappointed in this education system.
