Posted by a parent on 3/30/2021My second child is a 3rd grader at Inglewood and I could not be more pleased. My first child came into Inglewood Kindergarten with an IEP (Individualized Education Plan). We had regular meetings regarding the fulfillment of the plan. The administration was different then but the current administration is just as responsive to the needs of my daughter. I've witnessed the teachers work with all sorts of students. They make them feel heard and wanted. They coax an amazing amount of creativity out of the children. It is an Environmental Sciences STEAM school and I have never witnessed such a cohesive multi-level, multi-discipline school. Every grade level is on target with their STEAM projects, my kid comes home with enthusiasm for her work. The Art teachers (music, art, library) inspire my daughter to be better and to want to learn more. The administration is creative in its problem-solving. It's responsive to parents. it's loving to the children. The teacher-to-student ratio is low. The facilities are extremely well maintained, with SMART boards throughout the school, and new, eco-themed, eco-friendly, accessible playground equipment. The support staff is supportive of the children. The school itself is central to the South Inglewood community. The student body reflects the ethnic diversity of our neighborhood. Both of my girls excel in school because of the Inglewood faculty and staff. My oldest, now in the 7th grade, maintains relationships with teachers from Inglewood. Every year my youngest wants to teach each prior grade, citing last year's teacher as inspiration. If you want a small school where values such as compassion, respect, and love of learning are taught, a school that nurtures students of all learning styles, a school that understands that the education of the child includes the whole family I cannot think why you wouldn't choose Inglewood STEAM Magnet Elementary School.
Posted by a parent on 3/30/2021I have been apart of the Inglewood Elementary community/family for the last 4 and a half years. I wouldn’t have picked another school to send my daughters. The curriculum is nothing short of amazing. My daughters have learned things that their friends in other schools have absolutely no knowledge of. The curriculums and learning styles have placed my daughters in higher rating levels compared to their peers who do not attend Inglewood as well. Principal Croft is amazing and helps to create that family feel. Inglewood is very close knit and supportive in not just our children’s education and learning, but also for parents. I have developed great relationships with fellow parents and we uplift one another. Especially during the challenging times of COVID.
Posted by a parent on 3/24/2021Inglewood Elementary is a wonderful school and we are so glad that we found it while applying for the school lottery ! The staff there are incredible; they are all so patient, kind, and accommodating for all of the students, and they go above and beyond for the kids to be welcoming and help them even beyond academics. The teachers there work so hard for the kids and push them when they need it, but also work hard with those who may need the extra help or guidance. The class sizes are small, so we know our son is getting the time and energy he needs from his teachers to properly learn material. The school communicates very well with parents and families, and we always feel in the loop and like we know exactly what’s going on in the school and with our son’s learning. We love that the staff know all of the kids there and greet them warmly every single day. Our son, who is normally so shy and reserved, has blossomed at this school, and we wouldn’t trust him anywhere else ! We are so grateful for Inglewood
Posted by a parent on 3/23/2021Inglewood is a hidden gem! The staff works very hard to address all of the students' needs, going well beyond academics. Teachers are communicative and supportive. Class sizes are small, and there is a focus on positive reinforcement. Each classroom has a calming zone, where kids can go when they're having big feelings. The variety of fun, free after school programs has been so great for us. And the playground is awesome!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible school. Horrible principal that fakes like she cares about the students but that is only a cover up to make it seem like it’s a good school. Plenty of teachers that don’t care what happens to your child while in their care. If you care anything about the well being and safety of your child stay away from this school.Parent Review1y ago - Dan Mills Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been going to Pennington since Kindergarten and she is now at the end of her 2nd Grade year. Mrs. Kinzer is the Principal and she is amazing! We have had a few incidents, one where my daughter was hurt and one recently where my daughter was the one bullying another child and both times Mrs. KInzer handled the situation with grace and integrity. My daughter has always learned quickly and in December was reading at the level they want all students to be at the end of the year. She feels adequately challenged and does not get bored. I believe another reviewer was correct in stating that the lower test scores are due to a high number of children who speak English as a second language so do not let that deter you! Even though we have had 2 small incidents in the 3 years my daughter has been there, all of the kids get along and there is not really any bullying. It is definitely different than the school I went to, so much so that when my daughter goes to fun company at another school in the summer she has difficulty handling the more rambunctious atmosphere and doesn't understand why some of the kids are a little meaner, it simply isn't that way at Pennington.Parent Review6y ago - Rosebank Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two sons at Rosebank. Both of them have been going since kindergarten. The older is in third currently and the younger in first. We have nothing but high praise for Rosebank. The staff & teachers are so kind & caring & clearing very invested in the students there. They go above & beyond to help the kids learn & thrive at Rosebank. Both my boys have improved in all areas (academically, socially, and in confidence) since being at this school. When I first saw the rating here on greatschools.org before my first son started attending Rosebank I was worried. But after touring the school & meeting the staff I quickly realized this was a great school & one has to go & check it out to find the truth. I could not recommend it more for young children starting their elementary school journey!Parent Review2y ago - Tom Joy Elementary School
