Overall, Science Hill is a pretty good school, arguably the best in the area. They have a lot of different opportunities and very diversified academic paths and clubs. You can definitely tell that most teachers really care and want to give you the best education possible. Their AP and Honors classes
Posted by a community member on 7/30/2025As a parent of 2 kids that go here and as a print student they have went down hill. The academics are still ok if your kid can pretty much teach themselves. The teachers and Staff have become super authoritarian and put the term safety on everything to continue to teach our kids to give up rights.th

Here are some pros and cons:Pros:• Tons of classes• Good Teachers• A TON of clubs and extracurriculars• An impressive amount of diversity for a school in the area• Good infrastructure and lots of resources

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school. Student demographics pull from a very economically disadvantage/transient area. I question if Great Schools has up to date information. Teachers have to manage very chaotic behaviors at this school. My 1st grade child had students call the teacher curse words, had to endure foul mouthed language sometimes directed at her. A child routinely soiled himself at school. Front desk did not care about parental concern. It was so glad we moved to another district.
