Spring Valley High School

This is an AMAZING school! I was there from kindergarten to 5th grade and it was really fun! The teachers are nice and their teaching strategies and rules are very good. The students there are really respectful and I didn't see any bullying there. I wish I could be at this school again because everyone was just friendly and I'm so glad I made so many good memories there! I would so recommend this school!

My experience overall has been great other than the assists at the front desk hates her job and is only there for a check her attitude reflects it in a major way. She’s the first person you encounter when entering the school and the first to make you want to walk out the door!

This school is the best school I've attended. PE is so fun. If you can get your child into this school he will learn so much.

My daughter has had the privilege of attending North Springs Elementary for six wonderful years. The principle is very friendly and a true leader who cares about his students safety and well being. The staff in the office is top notch. They go out of their way to help in any way possible. North Springs has awesome teachers. When my daughter needed help in math, her teachers gave her extra help that truly mad the difference. I will forever be appreciative for all their efforts in my daughter's education. I would like to thank Mrs. Cobb, Mrs. Washington and Mrs. Dial for being such great teachers. They are very caring and go the extra mile that is so unexpected. They really are the best teachers. I'm really going to miss this school.

In the school, I was speaking from experience for three years ago when I was in third grade I was treated poorly. The kids were having inappropriate behavior towards me, stopping behind and touching very inappropriate parts. They were harassing me and a teacher did nothing about it and just rode her eyes this is a terrible traumatic experience for me. I do not recommend going to the school and every counsel that I talked to did not help the situation Please I recommend going to Lake Carolina elementary

Full Gospel Christian Academy is an excellent Christian school and its administration and teachers have the students at heart both spiritually and academically. So far, it has been a great experience for us to watch our sons learn and grow and we're eternally grateful for the entire staff for instilling this love of learning in our sons. They have a great foundation to build on and we look forward to the future! Way to go FGCA!!!

My wife, daughter, and I came to Columbia in 2018 due to military orders – I was stationed at Fort Jackson. My daughter was about to start Pre-k 4, and we wanted to find a good school for the 2 years we would be here. We not only found the 2-year school in St John Neumann…we found her school for the next 7 years and beyond. Instead of moving away in retirement, we stayed right here because of SJN. The culture of the school is so welcoming, kind, nurturing. It runs from the Principal and Ass’t Principal through the admin staff and to the teachers. My daughter is challenged academically…the teachers teach in a way that makes learning fun and productive. There’s no “teaching to the test” at SJN…yet, the school outperforms other schools in MAP testing. If you’re a military family, you won’t find better support for you and your kids at any other school in Columbia.
