Very mature teachers, beautiful learning atmosphere and open door policy school. This school is welcoming and warm feels safe to send my kids here. Very satisfie
Posted by a parent on 3/13/2014North Springs elementary has done quite a bit of damage to my daughters self esteem after only 2 years.The majority of students at this school are African American, and my child (Caucasian), experienced terrible racial segregation while attending this school along with countless acts of bullying. .

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is in Kindergarten and she loves Killian elementary. Mrs. Martin is a very great teacher. My child is now reading and writing, etc. I really see a huge progress in her as opposed to before she started this school. Mrs. Martin also shows great concern when it comes to her students. The teachers are nice and their teaching strategies and rules are very good. The students there are really respectful and I didn't see any bullying there. I wish I could be at this school again because everyone was just friendly and I'm so glad I made so many good memories there! 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child was jumped by 2 other children. I was only aware of the situation by the nurse. Not the principal or his teacher. Even though this happened during the end of school the children were still allowed to go get on the bus to go home. There parents should have been called to pick them up and be fully aware immediately. The children punishment was in school suspension which is a light punishment for bullying and fighting. His teacher is often absent or leaving early and my son tells me often he had a substitute teacher. There has been a situation where I called the school and told them I will pick him up and when I came to get him he wasn't there.
