Carver-Lyon Elementary School

As a parent, I'd strongly advise others to consider other options. There's been ongoing bullying issues towards the minority in numbers that haven’t been addressed PROPERLY by the administration. These kids feel scared attending this place because of fights and racial comments towards them. Another important issue and serious concern is that students aren't really thriving academically. What's going on that the staff and Principal aren't really doing enough? It feels like the school isn’t providing the support that students need, and there's definitely a concern to be addressed and correct. It's important to look for an environment where every child feels safe and supported and unfortunately Watkins-Nance Elementary is not it!

This school is one of the best-kept secrets in this large district. The teachers are kind, and the administration staff really goes beyond the call of duty to help their students. I would recommend this school to anyone who needs a change from other schools that care about nothing but themselves. The principal is great, and the assistant principal is very helpful. The teachers communicate well, and my child really feels safe in this school. Thank you, Bradley!

I couldn’t be happier with the experience my daughter has had at this school. From the moment we enrolled, the staff has been incredibly welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. The principal and administration are visible, approachable, and clearly invested in creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for all students.My daughter has grown so much academically and socially since starting here. She actually loves going to school every day, which says a lot! The Saint John Preschool staff has the ability to make EVERYONE feel like family. Educating their students while instilling Christian values has always been their priority, but they also give their students time to have fun in a safe and nurturing environment.

My sons were very responsive to the instructions

My son entered kindergarten at St. Peter’s this year, and he loves it so much, he cries if I pick him up too early because he loves it and his friends! They truly tailor the teaching to meet each child where they are. They also have a good balance of using the state of the art technology, while they also work with paper, pencils, scissors, and glue. It’s a supportive environment for the children and families. I have also appreciated their faith formation. I highly recommend this school!
