St Augustine School

Don't send your kids here just don't. When I was in the fifth grade my teacher left to go help his wife out with their new baby. For two weeks we got some packets that we worked on but then we just stop receiving them. This went on for another 2 months and nobody really cared. We played games on our computers all day and weren't learning a thing. The principal did not care about the students and when they would tell her that they were getting bullied she wouldn't care. There are some good teachers but the majority of them don't know how to teach and don't care about their students. When I left this school and went on to middle school I saw a major change in academics and I was actually learning stuff and even managed to get into Classical High School. This school is a joke please don't send your kids here.

This school year for my son hasn't been the greatest, to start with his teacher was mostly absent and he was already getting tired of having substituted or ending with another class in a different grade, sometimes with first graters. now his teacher is not coming back there is a substitute teacher that we hope she can stay until the end of the school year.

This marks the second year my son has been enrolled at this school, and we've witnessed significant shifts in personnel, from the principal to several teachers previously criticized in unfavorable reviews. The incoming principal is driven by a genuine desire for improvement and is confronting the tough decisions inherent to the role. A newly established parent council is actively contributing to much-needed reforms within the school. I'm optimistic about the direction in which the school is moving under this new leadership. As my son approaches his transition to middle school next year, I'm encouraged by the positive developments at this institution. Despite its smaller size, the school proactively supports its students before academic challenges become unmanageable, showing a real commitment to their overall well-being.

Bullying is an issue at St. Pius. The school administration completely mishandled a consistent 3-year period bullying issue. Due to this, several families took the children out of the school. Upon trying to educate the school administrators to apply the state bullying policy, the principal and councilors ignored the obvious. It became an issue for the many families involved. If choosing to attend St. Pius, please demand to the administrators that ensure proper pressures are followed regarding bullying. I hope you succeed where others haven’t. The principal’s approach is to help the bullying student rather than protect the innocent.

Would not have it any other way!!!! It’s a Great school . I Would recommend this school to anyone looking for a reasonable tuition for a private school setting; with teachers who are competent, knowledgeable and capable.
